Thank you so much for this video! I have six or more very expensive sharpeners that my art students have incapacitated, and replacing the blades didn’t resurrect them. I thought perhaps the trigger mechanism was broken, but your video has shown me that it’s probably a gear issue. I hope now that I’ll be able to salvage these vital machines!

You are awesome and this was an incredibly helpful video. I have the exact same pencil sharpener and it's about 7 years old. Two months ago it stopped working and starting making the humming noise. I thought about buying a new one but decided to try fixing it first and found your video. I now have a fully functional pencil sharpener again. Thanks so much!

Can this be adjusted to work in uk ? I bought one and didnt realise it's from us and obviously it's a different voltage...would you have a solution please ?

Maybe you should have put some 3 in 1 motor oil on the bearing to lubricate it when you were fixing your sharpener.

Ugh. Mine is a slightly different model and i couldn't get the last bit apart. Ended up tossing it. What a piece of junk. I will never buy another one.
