I was annoyed my Sondor was rated 5 until I watched the Vello review and my jaw hit the floor. What a cool little bike! And with hydraulic brakes, and the battery in the hub? Crazy.

I've been riding a Sondors Fold X for going on three years now. I find it an excellent ebike, and have no complaints. Whatever ebike you choose, here's a couple of things to consider. 1) You're not going to be happy with a single gear in the back unless you live in very flat terrain and only ride with the wind. The motor just isn't going to have enough torque. Seven gears in the rear is just about right. 2) Check each company's warrantee. If you have the option to buy an extended warrantee, then get it. There's a lot that can go wrong with ebikes that are not an issue with purely mechanical bikes. 3) Battery security. Will one key unlock the batteries of all the ebikes of a certain company? (Looking at you Rad). You will love ebike riding once you get started.

Then your bike completely useless, riding my Shengmillo 500w for 3 years now, and definitely will convert it to single speed, coz I don't need manual at all, going uphills like a rocket on second lvl without a problem.

I subscribed. Three years ago I had a Sondors Thin (not a folding bike). It was good and I was happy. I had to get a bike shop to put it together. This year I got a Fiido d11. I got it at a bike shop and watched them unpack it and assemble it. Actually there was almost nothing to do to get it together. Very impressive. I’m very happy with it. It has a throttle and goes 24 km per hour. I don’t use the folding option much but I took it on the subway and folded it. It’s not easy to push when folded. It’s not a perfect bike but for the price it’s a good deal

The Lectric XP 2.0 should have been on this list, but you do have a nice selection. I can verify the RadMini is tough and well built. I have over 3,000 miles on mine, and I ride it on actual mountain bike trails! Thanks for the video!

I agree, the Lectric has got to be the best value. I own the Sondors Fold X and its a fine bike and I get compliments on the styling whenever I ride it. It can also be easily unlocked to go 25 mph and has Shimano Altus running gear. However Sondors just raised the price to $1699 and that's IF you can get one. They are having terrible shipping delays on all their bikes right now. Now consider the Lectric : $999, in stock, 2 week shipping, and comes with lights, rear rack, fenders AND front suspension ! The Lectric comes with 3" fat tires instead of 4" fattys on the Sondors, which is actually probably better for regular riding on paved and dirt. The Sondors does have a 14 amp hour battery pack vs. the Lectric's 9.6 but once you get used to using pedal assist in smart fashion, you won't notice the difference. You can ride for 4 to 5 hours straight if you want, and by that time you'll be ready to get off of any bike.

@@zetapal The Lectric bike Black Friday special made this an even better deal. Included are the bigger seat, suspension seat post, premium headlight and bike lock with holder. And to sweeten the deal even more, the price was dropped to $949. I ordered mine on November 1, when the Black Friday sale began. The bike arrived three days later and I was in the saddle the next day. An awesome e-bike that is Level 3 capable with a simple reprogramming. And unlike the puny bikes reviewed here, it has a 330 lb capacity.

For me, the best bang for the buck is the 750w Bafang mid drive kit, which can be mounted onto any bike. Mid drive performs much better than a hub motor. I started the kit on a Citizen Tokyo 16", then put another on a 20" Downtube 8H internal hub. Loved it so much that I built a Downtube 9FS full suspension bike with a 14aH battery that lasts about 60 miles. Now my friends are asking me to install Bafang kits on their bikes! The best part? I can load up 4 folding ebikes INSIDE my Prius V!

I've a Pegasus Opero SL with 52v28a BBSHD. A true beast compared to the Engwe EP-2 I only had for 34 days before it got stolen. It has its drawbacks though. Maintenance is a pain in the ass. Every 2300 km a new rear sprocket, chain (a very high-quality one like the SRAM PC870 for 8 speed) and cassette and in the meantime all kinds of small annoying things like failing brake sensors, shifters that don't work like intended, hydraulic brakes with brake pads that probably can't handle the extra heat which leads to them drying up which then causes very dramatic screeching brake sounds. And when the chain falls off, I have to stop whereas an internal hub can continue. If that ever happens by the way.

My plan is to get a great bike with all the bells and whistles and replace the hub-drive with a mid-drive when it burns out, which it will... Just curious... Do you know if anyone has tried a CVT drive on an electric mid drive motor? Seems like the best option to me... and belts are quieter than chains

@@craigsmalling I suggest everybody look at the Better Business Bureau for rad bikes, aventon bikes, Hemiway bikes because they all have terrible customer complaints that go unresolved so you better hope you don't have a problem with your bike or need warranty service.

I own the Lectric Ebike XP 2.0 and it has a lot more features and service that many of these bikes don't have. The best part is Lectric Company HQ is in Phoenix Arizona and actually a great Customer Service Staff if anything is wrong in the 1st year or longer. Try and get some of the other bike manufactures a call and see what you get. LOL All I say is check what you are getting, compare equipment as well as available parts and customer service before you buy. Oh the Lectric XP 2.0 is $999 and includes free shipping in the lower 48 states. Can't beat that with a stick.

Nov 20 I bought the G-Force T42 750w(1100W Peak) 48v11.2ah for $849 ! ! TOTAL ! 32mph, 22 A Controller, Hydraulic Brakes, Head/Tail/Brake lights, Fenders, Rack. Battery options go to 20AH...! EDIT...: Reprogrammed to 34mph, and 5-PAS levels. Moved thumb throttle to rt side. Added Cloud 9 seat, RockBros rack bag, LED handlebar Light.

The aventon sinch is actually 750 watts. You need to go into the menu to change it yourself from 500 to 750 watts. It's sold as a class 2 for legal reasons but can be upgraded to a class 3 in 10 seconds in your menu screen.

I have a sohoo folding 20" x 4" Fatboy. 48v 13 ah. 500w. I love it. $1410 after tax. Max speed 32mph. 35 mi range throttle. 50 mi if I pedal. 56lbs. Mounted Ridgid cargo lock/tool box to rear rack. Step through.

Need to look at GDS Ebike company recently renamed to Polarna. I have their folding fat tire 20 x 4 bike and its pretty great with 750W motor. Comparable to the Rad Mini. I also test rode a Yamee fat tire bike. It was nice but the 500W motor seemed a bit underpowered for hills. Would have bought the 750W Yamee if I had found one.

I'm looking for a foldable small enough to fit inside an 'uber' ride so I can ride out 5-6 miles then have a ride home if needed & ride at least 20 mph. Luna is nice yet sold out. Aventon Sinch small enough? Vello is sweet! Yet pricey. Any suggestions? Thanks for all you do!

Lectric XP 28MPH in pedal assist mode. I have over 1200 miles with no issues. I paid $899. The new model is only $999.

A few points to the comparison.... can you please mention the important tech specs equally across all the bIkes you compare please? Some have the torque mentioned, othere the AH, some watts etc. I think you get the drift? Also a video looking and comparing foldable for boats would be in high demand......especially looking at weight and ability to have storage rack mounting options. Thanks and continue the good work

The amps on the Lectric is 9.4. I worry about not being able to get up steep hills. Anyone have a comment? Maybe I’m looking at this wrong, but the Radmini has about 14 amps on the battery.

@@gloriamickley6500 Ive had the xp1.0 for two years with no overheating or lack of power.I weigh 190lb and always carry maybe 20lbs in saddle bags or rack.I would not hesitate getting the new xp2.0 you wont be disapointed and customer service cant be beat.Heck I had just a loose connectoion and they sent me a motor tire wheel assembly free so now Ive a spare that and display.Good company.

You are missing on this list any of the Amp Rides bike. They have a 1500 watt motor and 40amp controllers. Super fast and powerful. Any Amp Rider bikes would blow all on your list away.

Do any of these E-Bikes support riding while charging? Both the wife and I are disappointed led and will be camping out of our truck. If we got stuck outside the range of the bike we need a bike that we can hook up a small generator to so it can extend the range to where we can get help.

Headlights can either be integrated into the e-bike electronics, or it can be separate. If it is separate there is usually a button to press for the headlights.

Fiido D11 rates VERY highly for me, but my practical streak says go the Rad Mini4 with fat tyres, suspension and mud guards.

I have the aventon sinch and i do love it but it cannot be easily stored into a trunk or closet its just too dang heavy. Also the throttle button was built so that it doesnt work off the bat, the pedals needs to be cycling first, which can be a good thing or bad thing.

You have an older version. Use the down button to activate walk mode That will get it started. Then switch to throttle.

Jupiter defiant has a factory regulated speed of 28mph, switch tires to vee tire speedster and have hit 35mph, approx 20 mile range without pedaling, 45mph with pedaling
