यह जानकर हैरानी हो सकती है कि electric trains में, overheadlines से इकट्ठा की हुई power, पहिया के माध्यम से flow होने के बाद पटरी की grounding cable में पहुँचती है। तीन phase वाला power conversion, regenerative braking और zig-zag overheadlines - ये सभी electric train के तकनीक को काफी अनोखा बनाते हैं। आइए सबसे simple possible design से शुरू होने वाली electric trains के पीछे के सभी engineering रहस्यों को समझते हैं।

Head-on-generation and Dynamic braking both are superb technologies and I seriously wish that it is adopted in all the trains of Indian Railways at a faster rate..
