If you have Chevrolet Cruze and your car does not crank and does not start we will share the most common reason that we see at the shop why Chevy Cruze does not crank and does not start. Chevrolet Cruze in some markets is known as Holden Cruze as well. We demonstrated our car does not crank and start on 2015 Chevy Cruze but it should be helpful for the whole generation.

I have a 2013 Chevy Cruze 1.8 L non-turbo.. try to start car and it almost sounds like a click at the starter but no turnover... put brand new starter in it same issue... if I put booster pack or a booster cable on the positive side I put my positive booster cable on the opposite side of a bolt where there's a fuse link is bolted down with a little Bolt with the positive battery cable bolts inside that little fuse box on top of the battery... if I put a 12-volt positive cable on the farthest red positive bolt and not sticking up... the car starts up perfectly fine..... but if I don't put a 12-volt positive cable inside that box on top of the battery positive post box.. I don't get no start... but as long as I put a 12-volt positive on to that side I can get in car and it starts up normal with the key.... so I'm trying to figure out why..

There is always a reason as to why the fuse blew, it didn't just feel like blowing one day, this can be a big indication that your starter is going out.

Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge, I really appreciate. Okay, I have a question? I have a 2015 Chevy Cruze 1.4 turbo LT RS and I recently noticed that the sound of the starter for the "Auto stop & start" is no longer heard. I used to hear the starter start up when I first got my car. The only thing that I can still feel, is that usual little kick whenever I release the breaks to go. Seems like the system is still working, except for hearing the sound of the starter starting up every time I take my foot off the brake to go.

For my 2013 Chevy Cruze lt, it was the fuse on top of the battery. 250amp fuse I believe.

Mines not even lighting up or showing any kind of juice and its a brand new battery. It did it wks ago and thats when i bought new battery. So its definitely more then just a battery issue and when it does this. They key gets stuck and i have to release it using the screwdriver up that hole trick.

Mayb you can help me cause I've had 2 mechanics and they both have gave up? I've had a new battery installed a generator installed a negative battery wire replaced a ecm installed reprogrammed security system And car now won't crank over there is power to everything and the codes just keep saying list communication to ecm/tcm? AND my only problem at the beginning was because my service traction control and stabilizer lights came on???

Do you have any videos on replacing the rear control arms ? Can only find 1 video on it from another KZfaqr but apparently it's not just about undoing 2 bolts and slapping on another rear control arm. The video I found is very vague on how to do it .

Guy I have a 1.8 ecotec for astra h. I'm not getting oil to the cylinder head. The pump is fine cause oil reaches the oil filter its just not getting to the head

Question. So you If the starter main relay goes out we can not cut it out and add a mega fuse to complete the circuit?

No, the reason for a relay, is so it isn't activated 24/7 with a fuse, it. will run constantly.

Wrong fuel was filled in my car pumped out and we cranked the fuel out the lines then it just stopped cranking starter replaced and some fuses

My key got stuck in the ignition and my key blade broke now when I open the door the alarm system goes off so I took out fise 51 and it disabled the hirn and alarm system but when I turn the blade it won't start the radio and the lights come on but it won't go further hopefully i just need a new key made cause my blade broke completely off

Starts when 1. Sometime on its own 2. Always on additional battery jump start 3. When starter relay is opened and contact made manually in ignition mode. 4. Or when Technichian directs it from starter solenoid from below the car. Technician not able to understand and resolve issue

Try the Key put it in the door lock and then turn to unlock position and hold for 30 seconds.

Same issue here. Did you ever get advice from anyone on this issue. My OBD reader says no power going to ECU and won’t read it. Starter new and battery is new as well. Key is my only suspicion. Odd if it got flashed reset some how.

Culprit was battery… battery health check up it was showing perfectly ok… but it was not…. A battery dealer was the one who figured it out and not the company technician… battery replaced and problem solved. As per him one of the cell was weak which was not getting detected in the batteries health check…in any of the checks
