Bit of a different video today guys! Today we'll be checking out the Niz Plum Atom 68 Electro Capacitive keyboard. This is essentially a topre clone keyboard, it uses electrostatic capactitive switches and feels like typing on feathers... Let's check it out!

Good to see you. Thanks for the review! Suggestion: next time if possible, if you’re emphasizing a board like this one that has a soft sound and such, compare it with another keyboard?

Excellent review! I saw that it has a Win/Mac key on the bottom row. How does it switch between these two OSs?

Do you know if the software for remapping keys allows you to remap the FN key itself? For example. Would you be able to set Fn layer 1 to the caps lock key?

This keyboard is also fine for gaming. Becuase LOL world champion Doinb of FPX uses a Electro Capacitive Keyboard

I own every model of topre board, but I like the layout and that this is mx compatible. Is it actually any worse than topre?

Also note: it's very much possible to add domes with heavier resistance, which in turn also makes the keys feel a lot more tactile (at the top of the keystroke of course, because rubber dome).

@@mrbananaman8032 You can either get dome sheets from Nizkeyboard.com (originals), from eBay (hansung dome sheets) or go all the way and put some expensive BKE domes in there, but this is apparently pretty difficult to do (the BKE ones).

@@mrbananaman8032 EDIT: Normal sheets from NiZ are about 19 bucks I believe. Same with Hansung. BKE domes are *very* expensive, since they're usually used to spice up a Topre keyboard from what I understand. But they can be used on NiZ boards.... however they're a lot harder to install on certain models.

I got the Plum 84 though I would prefer having ordered this 68. The feel and sound of ec switches are wonderful indeed. True, 45g or even 55g is much better but I doubt it's worth buying one different sheet afterwards.

It’s still a mechanical keyboard.. with rubber domes. It’s not a membrane keyboard

@@norpanmekk there is a video witch proves that according to the dictionary all keyboards except the ones on phones and maybe that one surface touch keyboard are mechanical.

You like it when keys recess into the keyboard? I pay specifically to get exposed keys for the sake of cleanliness.
