They won't sell just the controller,you have to buy the whole kit..

Good info. I just don't know about compatible controllers and motors etc. or where to learn about it. But if upgrades to make it better are too expensive, I feel it's probably more worthwhile to just put that money towards a better bike. On the other hand it can be useful to play about with stuff as part of learning.

I decided to check their website and they don't ship to the UK. So it's not an option anyway. I guess if I had the model numbers of the controller and other parts I could try to source those from elsewhere. But then I don't know if they just work or some programming of the controller is needed.

They also sent me the upgrade shock. It seems alright, new video dropping tomorrow and we talk more about it.

I used new bolts and nuts M6 1.25 and I made the spacers.

They are the ProTaper pitbike bars.

It comes in a kit. The stock motor won’t hold up to the new controller.

The wiring looks like it would be easy to do.

ETM. On their page, under the shop tab, click the “Kits” link.

I don’t quite remember the measurements but if you hold the controller up to the bike, you can measure it. They don’t bolt on completely straight, but it really doesn’t matter.

That’s something I would definitely ask Electro & Co.

It would over volt the stock controller is only to power up to 2000w it would blow the controller as the new motor is 2500w but over voted to 3000w with the new controller

I would also like to know as I'm getting the kit and would like to use the key over a button for better security reasons

@@christianwatkins8459 I cut the wires to the switch and % gauge. Then wired in the key switch and gauge. I wired in the % gauge and volt meter together so I have both.

I went through the warranty process and got nothing. If I hadn’t messaged the media, I wouldn’t have gotten anything. I emailed them 6 days ago and still don’t have any response. They dropped that ball and I’ve been extremely nice about it. I’m giving them as many opportunities to make this right as possible but sooner or later I’ll have to just give up and tell people my opinion might be to not buy the bike unless they are ready to upgrade it.

Yes, I know E&C has one and I’m sure others make it.

Just stop by Home Depot and get 1/2” square tube in the fastener section. Then just cut it with a hacksaw. Super easy. I then just painted them black.

The upgrade controller doesn’t play well with stock motors.

We seem to go through the battery a little bit faster but totally worth it for the power increase.

@@aMotoheadsGarage i thought that the upgrade kit made it faster not the battery i just dont want to spend money on both so i want to know which one to get the battery or the upgrade kit

@@ChaLayishim battery kit wouldn’t make it faster without a new controller. The motor and controller kit from E&C will make it faster using the stock battery

@@aMotoheadsGarage turns out, it was the residual power. I worked up some courage and just plugged it in with a little spark. Works fine now. How low do you let your safely let your voltage go down to, before charging? Somewhere around 55v? Or do you let it get down to around 48-50?

@@deputypete I tapped into the wires going to the voltage meter and tied in the percentage meter. So I can just use the factory meter lol

They are probably about the same frame wise. The eBox has a 60v battery and a 2000w motor.

The mototec 1500w does 17mph I have an ebox 2.0 I'm 21 13stone and it does 27mph stock I have got the upgrade kit with the battery on its way though I also ordered an extended swing arm from them for a razor that will also bolt on to the ebox t havent the new 5000w power

E&C said it messes with the controller, or that’s how I took it.

It was just a quick swap as it bolted right in. Tried to not bore people with the ease stuff but I probably should have shown it.

@@mtb_robert85 I don’t really think using tape to hold on the controller is appropriate. He did that because he doesn’t have the needed tools to build a proper mounting system and how often does he use the bike? Never, he got the bike and controller (preproduction) for free. So he has nothing invested and doesn’t care what happened to it. I buy all my bikes so I can give my true thoughts. That way everyone knows it’s unbiased.

Idk, as you may have seen in the last video about it, it’s way faster now. I know their controller had been having issues with the stock motor. So I think something is different.

Wrong , hence why the kit makes it faster

The 2.0 E-box has a 60v battery. The stock is 3000w.

@aMotoheadsGarage with 72 volts your gonna get 5000w ...so probably 4000w at 60v. 48v and this motor and controller is like 3000w 👍

The stock motor can’t handle more power. It won’t last long.
