Best Micro Synth demo on KZfaq.. I thought that this pedal was just for distorted square wave sounds, but it actually sounds really versatile and Moogish. Just what I need for my live looping stuff.. I need to get this one asap!

You can get the most amazing muse hysteria bass tone out of this perfectly by putting some drive afterwards (and i'm not talking about some shitty muffled distorted bass sound like you see in all the covers) you put the sub, octave and square all the way up, the guitar all the way down and have no filter sweep, follow it up with a drive pedal or amp distortion and you have a fluidly crisp sub octave fuzz synth beast of a tone that can be heard clearly, even in big space and in a mix, like no guitar tone in the world.

What this is, is a square wave fuzz with octavers and a filter. But these elements- especially the filter- are very, very good.

Great demo! From watching/hearing other demos of this pedal I thought it was rather weak, thin and glitchy... but with some decent technical skills and knowing the unit, it sounds just fine. I'm tempted to get one, but what I really need is a polyphonic guitar synth. Although for the price of the Superego I could probably find some great uses for it.

WOW...finally someone who can ACTUALLY PLAY (espically prog) demonstrating this pedal...i almost didnt buy it at first because the dorks with videos on here demonstrating the pedal (EVEN "professional" companies) 1. sound like SHITE when they play 2. wouldnt know a prog tune if it fell on them 3. REALLY didnt know the pedal.. THIS guy really gets the most out of this pedal bravo!

Mostly when it's too fast. I like when it's slow because I can alternate between watching him play and reading the text. Other than that, I love your guys' demos!

You get pretty different sounds. This one has the filter and "fuzz" combined to get synth sounds.

around 1:10 you could almost do the Tubes "God Bird Change". While I love my EHX Electric Mistress and Big Muff no end some of this other stuff sounds a bit cheesy/novelty. The Hog/Pog all in the end sounds like organs with the notes smearing together. Which is a shame because some of it would be interesting and inspiring if it din't warble all over the place.

On the first song, some delay was definitely added. Other than that, all the sounds are from the microsynth .

does this version have a circuit that does not suck tone BigTime when not engaged ? my older versions is great as long as engaged. when bypassed, my ac30 sounds like a dead rat farting in a 23 bucks solid state amp.

the micro synth only takes a small amount off your top end. if you're sounding that bad there's some other problem

With this pedal capable of a sub octave, the dry signal and the octave above, should I not be able to get the same sounds out of this as a micro pog?

Love this pedal. Only issue I have with it is the sustain. It includes some gating which completely cuts off sustained notes once they fall below a certain threshold. Apparently this is more common in the newer versions of the pedal and most people solve it with a compressor before the input.

Great sounds!! Too bad that there are no memories (as far as I can see) to save your own sounds .... and is there a special pick up necessary? Or just plug it into your guitar right away? Really versatile sounds, amazing? I thought of buying SY-300 but this is almost just as great!

I love it, bought it yesterday. But I have a problem, the notes are cut after like 2, 3 seconds. Sometimes notes does not sound at all, it only works when my guitar volume is all the way up. maybe a compressor before it?

I was wondering the same thing myself. I'm not sure if you actually need a noise signal to trigger the synth sounds or not...which of course colors the sound of the synth. Perhaps an organ would work? Sort of would remind me of a VS3 synth. Welp...time for a new youtube video!

Actually, one video showed that it can be used for chords. So, it's polyphonic but works better with single notes.

Anzu Riki I have an old Korg X-911 mono gtr synth, if that's the one you mean? There are a few usable sounds, and the old hex fuzz. It's all preset sound buttons w/ a tone control for each. Not much versatility, although there's some latency at least it doesn't glitch (if your technique's alright). It doesn't seem worth the effort to hook it up for what little use I'd get out of it though. So it stays packed away :0/ I need a polyphonic synth to suit my needs... already have a controller in my Carvin Holdsworth Fatboy.
