In a world of pedal demos based to a large extent on blues/rock noodling, I really appreciate this. Thank you! Great playing and creative exploration.

100%, getting someone that approaches it with a creative mindset and less about replicating existing Whammy esque users like RATM means alot! I can hear approaches that Nels Cline or Deerhunter might take with a pedal like this.

When im jamming with my looper pedal. I love the option of using the Pitchfork to make bass lines that are pretty convincing to play over.

I've owned, gigged with, and loved this pedal for many years, but this wonderful demo unlocked a few possibilities I had never experimented with previously. Really excellent work, and beautiful playing as well. Cheers!

Andrew, I was looking for reviews and comparisons of POG/Pitch Fork/Whammy type effects but instead your video gave me so much more. I’m inspired and moved by your playing. I’m definitely following your journey.

Thanks for making videos like, this, every other review I've seen has just been riffing with the octave down so I appreciate a more harmonic approach

By far the best pitch fork demo on youtube thank you sir! I'm really tempted to buy it, but i've read on forums that the pedal is very noisy. Do you have any issues with hum/hiss/ etc??Using the power supply that comes with it helps? I already have a noisy vibrato pedal in my board that I love, trying to avoid other major noise sources haha
@AndrewChengGuitar2 жыл бұрын
Sorry for the late reply! I don’t have major noise issues with it, I do use a CIOKS DC7, which provides really clean power, that works great!
@nomijams Жыл бұрын
Great demo, dude! I’m curious if you’ve tried using the pitch fork on heavier or medium to high gain tones.
@AndrewChengGuitar Жыл бұрын
Thank you! Yes I have, works great live, of course for actual tracking I would downtune the guitar
@nomijams Жыл бұрын
@@AndrewChengGuitar of course! I was wondering more for some Gojira style embellishments and rhythms. Also to sound big in certain sections when we play live since I’m the only guitarist and I wanted to sound “fuller/bigger” in addition to using chorus and reverb.

Hey man, if I could only get one out of the two, would you recommend this or the micro pog? Love the sounds you got on your pog video and the blending of octaves, but feel like the harmony function on this might edge it?
@AndrewChengGuitar2 жыл бұрын
I personally use this one and don’t own the Pog currently, so that’ll tell you haha, the Pog octaves do sound sweeter though, depends on what you want

Hey Andrew, just curios, what expression pedal do you usually pair with the Pitch Fork? Any specific recommendation?
@AndrewChengGuitar2 жыл бұрын
I use one of those M Audio keyboard expression pedals, cheap and works well!

Hey long shot but what techniques are you using to jam harmony? Is it rootless chords? Or quartal harmony? Basically how can I play like you! Reminds me of pat methany, I am a jazz player looking for new fun things
@AndrewChengGuitar2 жыл бұрын
Hey! It’s a bunch of things, but I find it’s more about the voice leading rather than the voicings themselves, I worked on Mick Goodrick’s voice leading material for quite a while, it helps to get those ‘metheny’ type sounds, have fun! I am using a lot of triads and open strings here

wonderful sound, and very useful tool. strange that it doesn't shift at a minor 3rd

Great pedal, regularly use it at shows! Yes I do find that part quite strange, though I mostly use it for harmonies at more consonant intervals
@txikitofandango2 жыл бұрын
I ended up getting the Pitch Fork + and it's awesome. More intervals, two shifted tones plus the dry one. Also detune and some FM effects

@@txikitofandango awesome! I’m sure it’s great, just wouldn’t fit on my board now, would love to try it sometime though
@user-fb4iq7pb3q2 жыл бұрын
hey! how did you fix high frequency noise of this pedal?
@AndrewChengGuitar2 жыл бұрын
Make sure you don’t daisy chain the power supply with other pedals if you can! Especially digital with overdrives
@user-fb4iq7pb3q2 жыл бұрын
@@AndrewChengGuitar i tried to use separate adapter for this pedal, but i heared noise anyway. Reducing the gain on the amp and increasing guitar volume knob did the job, thanks!
