We are taking an in depth look at the brand new Pitchfork Plus from Electro Harmonix!
This has had to be quite a long video in the end due to the amount of customisable options there are in this thing! It truly is the Daddy of all pitch shifters!

Thank for that demo. Can you please confirm that the 3 levels (Dry, Shift 1 and Shift 2) are saved within each preset ? From what I see, if you launch a preset and change one level, the preset led blinks which indicates that a change has been made in the preset, right ?

Question.....the original pitchfork goes 1, 2, then 4 pitches and skips the 3rd....meaning, if I am in A, and I keep dialing the pitch key up, it will go A#, B, then C#......Will this pedal allow me to hit the 3rd, or C, note that the original pitchfork doesn’t????

Do you even own a Pitchfork? It does m2, M2, M3, P4, but won't do a m3rd, unless you use the expression pedal to dial it in.

Is there an option like on the original that you can use dual settings in one engine? I'm looking to do 1 octave up, 1 octave down, and drop tune at the same time. Would this be able to do that?

The original one wasn't really "one engine", it was just two engines that you only had limited control over. This gives you full control plus a bunch of extra stuff.

@@dallaswarhurst5625 Yeah, I think so. Maybe a MicroPOG for the octave up and down and a regular Pitchfork in single mode to drop tune? There are probably more expensive pedals that could do everything you want in one. The Pitchfork+ could get you part of the way there by itself. Say you wanted to drop tune to B standard, you could shift one voice down an octave and a fourth and the other one up by a fifth. That would give you both the octave up and octave down sounds in B, you'd just have to keep the dry turned all the way down because that would still be in E standard.

@@eyeball226 thanks again for the reply and giving me some ideas. I already have a boss oc5 for octaves up and down but I like that the pitchfork has more options than that, and I have a bass whammy that works for tuning to drop c pretty well. I was just hoping there was a compact pedal that could do all 3 so I can use my whammy as a whammy rather than a drop pedal. I will look into your ideas as well, thank you!

Yes, this pedal can do that if you remove the dry signal...

Here's an idea, check out Cant get enough if your love from Nad Company and see if you can match that. If you can ill buy it. Thats a true 2 guitar harmony.

This pedal is not just a pitch shifter with allot of functionality, as commented on the show. And its not a glorified POG either. I don't have it yet but from other videos we learn that first of all: its polyphonic. Then you can do FM with it! And turn your guitar tone into a synth and explore timbral possibilities and ......then you can do Ringmodulation... but I haven't found a video that showcases it. RTFM before doing mindless video presentations please.

Sorry that this video upset you so much. We were not familiar with all the features due to the pedal being brand new at the time of filming. Hopefully you will be able to find a video that confirms the many things you already know about this pedal, and that is presented in a way you find more enjoyable, or better yet, perhaps you could make your own once you have yours? I would look forward to seeing it.

I just got this pedal… Why did you not wait a week till you actually figured out how to use it? Or at least have the manual handy. God, this is annoying.
