This is the Final Fantasy XIII International Trailer in true High Definition format. This trailer features Leona Lewis singing "My Hands." This song was written specifically for Final Fantasy XIII (although, yes it is on her new album ofcourse).
The release date in the States for FFXIII is
March 9th, 2010. . . coming soon! FFXIII WILL BE RELEASED ON THE PS3 AND FOR THE FIRST TIME XBOX 360!!!
This trailer is jaw dropping in the fact that FFXIII is an amazing testament to what the true meaning of HD gaming is. Geez, it looks freakin awesome!
I noticed a lot of "drama" in this trailer but speaking as a HUGE FF Fanatic, come to think of it there is a ton of drama in most of the FF installments. I think the new Paradigm Shift feature will be really cool. Not so sure about the GF's/summons being monsters/cars? But who knows, I'm sure I'll start playing it and forget I ever had that thought!

They really dont make game trailers like this anymore, I remember 10 years ago watching this over and over and loving it. It still holds up now as one of the best game trailers to date. Wish we had more games that make you feel emotion again.

@@hcsnake Same man, I'm in my 30s now and this kind of stuff literally gives me goosbumps, for bringing back the pure excitment, euphoria and pleasure of playing these games, and just getting sucked into the story and characters, I really do want a new FF game to make me feel again.

@@alhera674 Yeah, I've recently turned 32 and I remember downloading this trailer to my ps3 and watching it over and over again when i was like 19, lol. The game was kind of a letdown in some ways but I still do love it for what it is (similarly to FF15), hopefully 16 brings it again. It's shaping up to be great so far, looking forward to this game so much.

If any original creator/dev/someone that had a hand in making this trailer ever reads this? I want you to know that I believe that this trailer is one of the best video game trailers of all time. The song paired with the trailer is masterful. It hits hard with what most are missing and afraid to include... heart and raw emotion. Thank you for this art. You know, I just watched through this for the who knows what all, time. I think I just realized something. All us gamers including myself enjoy GMVs/game music videos. Videos made by game fans that pair incredible gaming cutscenes/video clips with music and time things to make certain downbeats of music "hit" with certain good parts or emotionally relevant parts of a video clip/time in the game. I even did this myself with an Assassin's Creed GMV. The realization I came to is that this is literally a GMV. It's not a trailer, but a perfectly made GMV. It's an official trailer yes, but it's exactly what is gamers normally try to envision of one of the best GMV's ever. The song is "different," and perfect, and gorgeous. I thought of making a GMV of this game a long time ago and never did, this is already perfect.

After reading the prequel novel, which i know is a BIG ask of anyone, it gave the game so much more context and made it easier to follow. It made the game far better and elevated it to masterpiece status for me. Its unfortunate that without this light reading before the game though it leaves out so much and makes the story hard to follow.

I was around 7-8 when I was introduced to this trilogy, and its only now that i found the trailers, for some reason never searched for the trailer for FFXIII. This has been my favourite series since I first played it, and close to 10 years later, I feel like I love it even more with this trailer. It saddens me to see that the trilogy is very undermined and hated, its all undeserved. I honestly wish they could remake this series, however far into the future, I dont care, just hope it happens. Love this series, it practically shaped my childhood.

This game is just a joy to play. It feels like a flash in the pan now. I never see it make any top ten lists or anything. I just have such good memories of playing it on my old standard def tv during lazy summer days, unaware of how hard life could and would get.

A lot of it just didnt sit well with people. Walk 10 feet, autobattle, cut scene, walk 10 feet, autobattle, on and on and on for 40 hours. No towns to explore, limited character upgrades, basically no customization outside of what weapon you want to use. The combat system is pretty cool once it unlocks after a bunch of hours, but the game had little else going on for it. The storytelling is awful with the game throwing weird terms at the player that dont make any sense to them.

There is a PC version, in case that's an option for you. I can't vouch for the quality of the port, since I only played the PS3 version, but I'm sure you can find some info online. Personally I've just picked up a PS3 super slim for 80 bucks and I'm having a blast replaying all the amazing PS3 games.

People complain ff13 had a confusing story Ff15 had a straightforward story and a cluster fuck of quests I felt more world and character exploration in ff13 and then ff15

WOW 13 YEARS AGO! I was 16 😮 Such good times. This trailer is what caught my attention and made me try a completely new game without knowing anything about it... and what a game it was. Don't care what anyone says about it, I'm proud to say that this is where I discovered Final Fantasy and will always be so special to me. Lightning will always be my favourite FF character, she really broke limits for her sister and her friends. The trilogy was such a unique journey. Got all nostalgic thinking about this with FF16 just a week away, eeee I can't wait!

I genuinely love and appreciate this game. The Paradigm system was a blast to play and the story was great. So sad that a lot of people didn't like it but it is a hidden gem for me in the franchise.

The game had a lot of problems. I like it too, but the linearity and so little variety in the gameplay was a real problem. 90% of the game is walk forward, fight group of enemies, walk, fight, walk, fight, cutscene, walk, fight… for 50 hours. It really needed other things to do.

@@trenken No, it didn't. The linearity worked to it's benefit to be cinematic, and the gameplay didn't need variety. You're focused on a gameplay perspective when the game is majorly story-focused.

I never played final fantasy nor could get into from a friend. However I bought this for my younger brother and watched it. I bought it after and then it began my journey through 13, 13-2, 7, 8, and 15. The hate it gets is undeserved. It’s a good game for beginners to the series.

Came here after reading of a potential remaster rumor leak. This game deserves a second chance. This trailer got me teary when it came out, still does now all these years later. One of the most under appreciated trilogies of all time. Here’s hoping the rumors are true this time.

Try playing it again only this time dive into the lore before you even play the game. The game does a terrible job at explaining things well so it gets confusing. I replayed it after diving into the lore and even reading the prequel novel called ff13 episode zero and I kid you not this game lived up to the trailer hype. I played it for the first time on release date and thought it was good but not great and was near the bottom of my favorite ff games (I've played all the mainline ones) but after the replay last year, and doing all the things I've mentioned before, it might be my second or even first favorite. It absolutely makes that much of a difference.

It's 2024 and 13 remains to be one of the most divisive games in the franchise. They said it was too linear, I saw it as very story-driven. A lot of people don't like the English voice cast, I thought they did a great job. A lot of people didn't like the song they used for the OST, I thought it was perfect. Especially with this trailer.

@SepirothsTwinn88 The thing is though. . . the PS3 version will NOT be in 1080p. Both the PS3 and Xbox 360 version of FFXIII will be in 720p. The two big differences will be these: 1.) All cutscenes and CGI for the PS3 version of FFXIII will be in 1080p while the rest of the gameplay will be in 720p. 2.) The PS3 version of FFXIII will be on a single blu ray disc. 3.) Like Sephirothstwinn said, there will be to exclusive boss fights on the PS3 vs. the Xbox 360 version.

Revisting this trailer now 13 years later. I gotta say that I hate that the fandom talked so much trash about this game. If you are new to the Final Fantasy series, or are able to not compare this to other main line games in the series, it's actually really good. I'll always stand by this game.
