To better serve patients, this year we’ve constructed a new dedicated laboratory for treating the electrical issues of the heart, particularly cardiac ablations and pacemaker implants.

I had an ablation done in late June of this year. My heart rate had been 130+ and medication did not help. This procedure literally saved my life, and my heart's life - I felt like a new person the day after the procedure, and have felt great since then. It's given me a new lease on life, at age 80! Thank you, Dr. Ramamurthi, in Honolulu! (Medicare paid for most of the procedure.)

So happy you're feeling better. I was diagnosed with SVT about a year or so ago.. and I feel like my life has been robbed. My cardiologist mentioned an ablation, but my anxiety is freaking me out. Hope to have it fixed soon.

SVT is a tachycardic arrhythmia that just speeds up the heart, proper exercise and diet, along with stress relieving methods could alleviate that problem.

@@CosmicFist I have tried everything. I've been vegetarian 24 years, BMI is 19, I take magnesium, potassium, other vitamins....have had SVT since 1996 and as my first electrophysiologist warned me, the frequency has increased with age. If you have other suggestions I can try, I am open to it. My rate goes to 285 beats per minute when I am just sitting down watching a movie or whatever.

I just went to the procedure and I was treated like a thing I was told to walk to the operation room and get my blankets from my room Only the surgeon introduced himself I was given very minimal amount of sedative I was having anxiety When I complained of pain I was told not to talk I had a bad experience I hope at list the procedure was successful

What if during the procedure Afib is not present, how will you know where to target? Pls answer

They can cause the arrhythmias so they can pinpoint the area.

The arrhythmias are induced. My lasted a very long time

At time of this procedure (ep study) catheter wire doesn't pass through femoral vein.... Why??? Pls reply...

Help me.. i am diagnose for having a cardiac dysrythmia for over a yr now.. i cant afford the procedure.. im just ordinary citizen single mom.. please help me ..my last attack was just last month.. in a month i have 3 attacks... I wish theres someone who can help me so i can work and go back to normal...help...

Such a shame you live in the US and dont have money to help you. A pity you done live over here. If you did, you wouldnt worry about whether you can pay for the operation you need. You would have it asap if its needed. Have you thought of writing to Joe Biden. He is a decent man and am sure he would suggest something to help you. Look after yourself and God bless.

@@Arifa-Arifa im taking medications for now since we cant afford .. Exepensive everytime i need ho emergency . but nothing ican do. Really have no money for the procedure.. Promise its really hard ijust let my self to god
