See you again on my youtube channel, in this week's video I tried to make a covered bowl with crossed wood motifs, made of maple wood, rosewood and rengas, for the finishing I use natural oil, I hope you are entertained by watching my video and hopefully this video can be useful for many people

7:33 This lools splendid even in this phase. Like just blend the mid of the vase and leave the top with the crosscuts as is, in full waffer 3D outside, smooth inside.

Just a tip, might want to get an air tool to use for power sanding. Electric tools tend to get dust clogged in the motor and burned out pretty quickly.

So what shall I do today ... I know I'll cut up lots of little pieces of wood, glue them all together into rings and slap some of those rings together ... then I'll glue some more bits of wood together before cutting them up into little pieces, make some more rings and slap them together with the other rings I've made ... then I'll start cutting some of the rings up and putting other bits of wood in between ... then a quick bit of turning and done 🥰 The sheer variety of your work is truly astounding ... each and every piece you do seems to surpass the last ... long may it continue 👍

I would love it if you could put a little more in the description, such as measurements of each segment ring, as well as what sandpaper you use from what grit? What lathe tools do you use? Any brand in particular?

It's very difficult to find purple heart wood, and even if there is it might be very expensive, I want to make it immediately if I already have it

watched many of you videos but this was the onl one out of focus at the beginning. Good alinging after the table saw cuts which is pretty tough and most do not do it well

How do you know how many pieces you need for a circle at an specific angle? I feel like is simple math but I'm not getting it. Or do you just cut pieces at whatever angle until you have enough?
