If Kinemon can talk with his farts, is the ability to set his sword on fire really that far fetched?

I have a theory that each race has an elemental affinity Humans tend to be fire: Luffy, Sanji, Kinemon and Katakuri to a certain extent Fishmen have water abilities Minks use Electricity Hopefully we'll learn more.

My personal theory is that most of the weird abilities that seem to be different from Haki like Sanji's fire, Nine Sword Style, Red Hawk, and Hypnotism are actually Soul Power like with Brook. Everyone else kind of just develops these abilities on accident based off of their emotions and personality without really understanding it. Meanwhile, Brook actually knows what hes doing

Meh, makes sense to me. Haki is literally using your willpower to say "No, that didnt hurt" and have it be reality. So being able to do other things isnt unreasonable. If I can use willpower to say "This is really going to hurt my target" and have it be true, then why not "I am going to set my arm on fire and punch someone with it."

Even if it's not related to Haki, I like how most Straw Hats have a different element in the story: Zoro: Wind Sanji: Fire Brook: Ice Jinbei: Water Nami: Thunder Usopp: Grass

What if Haki does bend reality slightly? Maybe, 800+ years ago someone found a way to massively amplify that Haki to the point where it became something like a spirit that could bend reality in a specific way. Then someone found a way to trap and tie that spirit to a fruit and get it trapped in the reincarnation system? Haki could be part of the origin of Devil Fruits. This also better explained why you can't eat more than one. An ambition so strong it should literally warp reality is hard to contain if you tried to have two such ambitions they clash with each other and destroy you.

I would love to see a haki that instead of coating themselves, it becomes an energy that surrounds the part where the haki is used. Like instead of Luffy's standard haki, it's basically Enhancer Nen abilities from HxH. Explosive energy like Uvo's Big Bang Impact. That'd be so sick.

I always saw Kinemon cutting fire to be the same thing Zoro experienced when fighting Mr.1. It's about having your sword cut only exactly what you want it to cut, in Zoro's case steel and in Kinemon's fire. I do think it's probably an application of Armament Haki but just in a different way

Actually Matt, Otohime did have the baseline Haki we typically see used for combat, at least in dodging. She was weaving around bullets n shit in her introduction. Though of course i guess she has to be focused/trying to observe stuff. Otherwise she'd be alive lol. Shoutouts to her though, great lady. Edit; oh id say the fishman have more than a little hydrokinesis, theyre throwing water currents around and stuff

Electro for Electricity and Minks have an affinity for it and other races may have the ability to learn it like humans with Thunderlord Maguy, so i'm guessing: Pyro for Fire i.e Luffy, Sanji etc. (Humans/Giants/Long Limb Tribes or even King's race might have an affinity for it) Aero for Wind i.e Zoro 0 sword style etc. (Skypieans might have an affinity for it) Hydro for water i.e possibly Koala cus Fishmen Karate might incorporate it (Fishmen & Merfolk may have an affinity for it) Sub-Zero for Ice i.e Brook (dk what race could have an affinity to it, maybe Yeti's? like the Cool Bros.)

Evidences for this are: -He used his farts to talk on Punk Hazard -Farts are flammable -We have seem many characters been able to project controlled bursts of Haki (with various degrees of control) and also shapping those bursts for several different uses -Oda loves his jokes

Personally I just think it's the way he swings his sword. At an angle where its at maximum friction and the drag causes the air to ignite. Afterall Zoro can cut to conjure fire he just has to swing the sword using two hands. He did it against ryuma. I don't think it's a unique thing, just kinemon is a master of it.

I've always thought that Observation could easily be applied to people's occupations. Nami could have Weather Observation, Sanji could have Chef's Observation (he knew the ingredients of Big Mom's cake just from looking at it), Chopper could have Medical Observation, etc.. Oh yeah, was Electro ever discussed in this video? Because that's definitely a candidate for "elemental Haki." I mean, it's such a weird ability for an animal race to have.

I understand where you're coming from, Tekking, but I really hope that either this isn't attributed to being Haki or it isn't delved into whatsoever. In a series like HunterXHunter or Naruto or even Bleach, the main power system that is established whether it's explained in simple terms like Chakra and Reiatsu or is incredibly complex like Nen, it's defined as being so flexible and overarching that everything links back to that base principle. One Piece is different because we've had many different abilities introduced that don't share a common power basis. A few of the other unique power sets that have been introduced, maybe we could attributed to some form of Haki. Like the Happo Navy's Hasshoken. In Dressrosa it was explained as the user emitting vibrations. Maybe it's just a specialized form of Haki emission that causes vibrations. But maybe it really is something else and has nothing to do with Haki. We were introduced to Rokushiki by CP9, that hasn't been retroactively defined as a Haki based martial art. Cutting steel seems to have been turned into a haki based ability, but flying slashes are still considered "compressed air" or something and not long range Haki slicing. Skywalk hasn't been redefined as the user emitting their Haki to allow them to get footholds on insubstantial surfaces. The mink's have Electro. This is an ability very similar to what we've seen with the fire and other electric attacks, but it hasnt been explained as being Haki. All we've been told about it is that it's unique to the Mink tribe. But if elemental specialization of haki is a thing, that's exactly what Electro will be turned into. It won't be a special Mink power anymore, it'll just be another Haki power that is common among the Mink tribe. We've always had numerous different types of powers and abilities in One Piece. Not everything needs or should be linked back to being Haki or a Devil Fruit.

"One Piece: Film Strong" explained that the Thor attacks are used by absorbing the electricity from clouds as Luffy managed to use it in this movie which is set pre-timeskip. About "Red hawk", it's basically Luffy using "Gear Second" to move his arm so fast that it ignites, and he covers his hand with haki so that it doesn't burn (although it doesn't explain how did he ignite it in the water). And in chapter 994 Kine'mon literally ignited his sword through moving it - re-read the chapter people.

Hey Tekking, I have a theory about Aizen’s Bankai. I was rewatching your video on Aizen’s Zanpokto, and the swords complete hypnosis power made me think that Aizen never had a Bankai in the first place. We have seen a captain, being Kenpachi, who didn’t have a Bankai when he became a captain. So could it stand to reason that Aizen used Kyoka Suigetsu to create an illusion of a Bankai to the other captains? Just something to think about.

As an anime powersystem researcher, haki being the reason behind some of the elemental techniques makes too much sense. Glad to see Tekking101 talk about this

I’ve been waiting for you to make a video like this because I’ve been pondering the idea of unique/personalized Haki abilities for a long time now. It’s odd how Haki’s rooted in one’s mental/spiritual energy, like Nen from HxH, yet every person who manifests it has the exact same abilities and potential (barring the rarity of being a Conqueror). A fourth “color” of Haki in which the user manifests a unique power would not only make sense, it would also explain things like Zoro’s Asura and Sanji’s Diable Jambe.

I’m surprised he didn’t mention Fujitora’s ability to see people’s auras and his surroundings with observation haki in a similar vain to how Toph sees with her earth bending in AtLA.

Also this could explain Miss Goldenweek's powers. If every Combat-Haki Element corresponded with a Non-Combat-Haki Emotion. So in a way, Goldenweek's painting can elude to her being proficient in many different "colors" of Haki, and not having them be demonstrated in the most common (in the series) combat style

I would personally like depending on the individual their Haki can appear in doff forms An example is Zoros Haki can appear as Ashura and Sanjis can appear as fire. Also Big Mom has shown the ability to Summong Lighling without Zues. Also Redhawk. Appear isnt the right word but I cant think of a good word for it

I think Luffy's also got the same kind of Observation Haki as Otohime did. He's been able to judge how hard to fight someone based on what he feels about them. It's why he went so hard with Katakuri, he could feel that Katakuri was an honorable guy but he would without a doubt make good on his threats as well. He was a very serious guy, and Luffy could just sense that about him.
