Konark is a medium town in the Puri district in the state of Odisha, India.
It lies on the coast by the Bay of Bengal, 60 kilometers from the capital of the state, Bhubaneswar. It is the site of the 13th-century Sun Temple, also known as the Black Pagoda, built in black granite during the reign of Narasimhadeva-1. The temple is a World Heritage Site

Dharmapada was just only 12 years old, when he did that massive deed, not only he completed the construction of Konark Temple but also saved 1200 badheis from being decapitate by the king. But according to Konark localities the main temple is different than shown here. Also there were two giant magnets between which the idol of Lord Sun was situated which touches neither the floor nor was hanging from the roof. What a technology.
