Well to be fair, he hardly put any effort into playing Sheldon Cooper. He simply played that character like he behaves, thus giving Sheldon the same mannerisms as Jim Parsons. This is exactly what happened to all of the Friends cast too (except Jennifer Aniston maybe) and this is what is going to happen to all of TBBT cast. The only two people who TRY to act and set their character apart from their real personalities are Johnny Galecki and Simon Helberg.

Ashcool Totally. I'm a fan of TBBT but I think it's been tired for quite a few seasons now. And JP used to intrigue me because he was such a mystery. But after watching a few interviews, a couple of sketches and one of the worst kids animated movies ever made called Home, I was like wtf does this guy even have talent? He is magnificent as a neurotic genius, but pretty mediocre as a neurotic actor. I disagree about the others though. Other actors in TBBT like Mayim B and Bernadette are pretty good. Bern is an almost different person out of character. As for Friends, I have no idea how you could think Jennifer Aniston was least "herself". She is and will always be Rachel, no matter wot she does and where she goes. Look for her SNL monologue. Was basically Jennifer as played by Rachel.

runninginsept Jennifer Aniston did a bunch of different characters after FRIENDS. She played as a stripper, a sex addicted dentist who harasses her employees and many more roles. I never for a second, saw her as Rachel in those movies. That's why I said she didn't bring her character into Rachel's character. Or it is entirely possible that she just played different roles to break out of her shell. Mayim and Melissa are talented actresses with good timings but no, they don't keep their own personalities away from their character's personalities.Melissa is just like Bernadette in her real life. I don't know if she bosses around her husband but she is always making jokes in real life. Even Mayim is like Amy in a lot of ways.As for Kunal, he brings his childishness to Raj and Kaley doesn't even try to be Penny. She basically is Penny already.
