Recently bought Elex 1 and 2. I am glad to see that starting is a bit better in the second game, cause I was getting my butt handed to me in the first game, until I realized, you can just run and not fight anything. Can't wait to get to the second game, but I want to finish the first before I move on to it. Also was not familiar with any of Piranha Bytes games, but I definitely see what people mean by their particular style of game. But I think the games are going to be eating up my weekends for a while.

thought expansion on my side 1. investment in expanding fuel is practically mandatory and then into ability for air combat since its superior to any ranged weapon against flying enemies (in air combat you are almost untouchable and even the weakest melee weapon can be useful) 2. ranged weapons can be used to draw attention of enemies or weaken them before they reach you but the most important use is aim at red fuel barrels (one shot causes powerful detonation with very wide range (almost constant clearing of camps like in video)) and tall and small red gas containers (same effect but with short timer)) 3. all potions can be found all over the world (not only did they made exploration more rewarding but have also given strong reason to go on a trip) skill teachers can be found in every city but some are only at certain cities (if you can't train something it know areas then either you still have one more faction stronghold to visit or you simply have failed to find required person) 4. companion quests also expand your lore and can be quite entertaining and if you are into loot then you will be happy to know that such quests summon additional enemies of all kinds so that you (for example) can collect more weapons of new faction and use new creating system to improve them WARNING in first elex your companions were not only taking part in main quest battles but also their survival depended on fulfilment of their loyalty quests and here these quests are expanded with options

I'm taking a week off at the beginning of April. I'm planning to pick this game up then and have a fun week of playing through this game.

Dude, I really wished I had seen your videos before I jumped into Kingmaker. Its really hard to get over the kingdom managment it drops you into right after chapter 1. Completely changes the dynamic of the game from what you are lead to believe it starts out as. Its not an rpg but a sim in disguise, a very good disguise because the RPG aspects of it around the sim is whats keeping me in the game. Thanks to that accursed BG3 gameplay videos a lot of people like myself have been walking into Kingmaker in hopes of finding a quicker alternative to scratch the itch. If anything, you should probably make a warning video, especially about the sim because it is a HUGE hurdle to get over when presented.

This was my most hyped release of the year. Loving it.

to kill flying enemies easily as melee character (its kinda the easiest way, easier than ranged or magic) you need to buy hover upgrade of the jetpack, it lets you fight in air.

I hope the voice acting is as unintentionally funny as it was in Elex 1. God bless jank.

Also the Permapotions for attribite points will let you exeed the 100 mark, as this one is based on the base level of the attributes and not on the actual one. Learning skills also no longer depend on the base attributes, so you can learn a skill by equipping f.e. a specialisation to raise your attribute. Other than jetpack, no Elex potion drawback and that you can farm Elex and Dark Elex via monsterfarming, the same rules as Elex 1 apply. Perma Potions can also be crafted, but the ingredients are rare.

I'll buy this game in a month or two, when I'm done with the games I'm playing now. Hopefully by then most bugs and shortcomings will be ironed out or mitigated. By all I see and read, this second chapter seems to be better then the first one in all ways (excluding the FOV thing, which I don't think will be a problem for my personal needs in that department). Elex 2 being overshadowed by Elden Ring.

Still too busy with Elden Ring but already bought the game and planning on checking it out soon.

If you like Elex, you should try older Piranha Bytes titles. Gothic 1, Risen 1 and especially Gothic 2 are just superb and greatly influenced other games like the Witcher.

Should i wait with drinking the Statpotions until endgame or is the increase in cost per point "smart"?

@Mort - any tips for what you can sell? Are all valuables safe to sell or - like Gothic - do you find some guy who'd pay you 10E per cup, where you normally only get one? What about trophies? Or raw materials? Honestly, this is the element of PB games that irritates me the most - nothing more frustrating than selling all your honey for pennies on the dollar, going three houses down the road and finding out someone else buys it at full price. So far, all I've found is the water/bread/canned meat trader.

I wasn't going to buy this but I got it for $36, so I'm going to give it a try.

I enjoy this game :) however I miss the controls of the first game (console) especially changing the camera distance.

I accidentially used the Health Point Glitch via the Constitution Attribute and thought the gane was too easy, but with 2000 HP, when I should have only about maybe 200? I didn't know till yesterday that this glitch existed, because I never bothered to look at the PS4 R3 screen.

Tip, get shotgun, upgrade shotgun, upgrade range damage and then kill everything even on the highest difficulty. 3 Skull monsters no problem.
