I have been trying capture one for while and recently migrated permanently from Lightroom. It is just awesome and loving your videos to get more familiar with capture one. Most useful tool I liked is under layers we can work with every slider and control unlike in Lightroom when using local adjustments we have limited control and I liked colour rendering of capture one.

I really enjoy the selective color tools in Capture One, I started my free trip last night and I'm already in LOVE with it! Thank you so much for breaking down your workflow, you make it seem so seamless and easy to navigate all the controls and settings that can often come off as very overwhelming. Refine mask is probably my favorite feature of cap one. And the new patch tool is really good.

Hi Eli Really amazing tutorial on Capture One but I wanted to ask How to apply all the settings to the different images if we working sets of images on the same lighting and same location. it's kinda confusing because masking of every pose and image are diffrent

You're correct it would be difficult. This kind of editing is good for 1-5 photos from a series.

I don't think I have a single favorite feature in C1-21, unless it's the color richness, which isn't the same as saturation. I do like the ability to mix a huge variety of tools and brushes to get exactly the image I want to get. C1 is more flexible than other programs except maybe Photoshop. Overall, I've found images processed in C1 are sharper than ones processed in Lightroom, and colors are better than all other programs I've used.

Just to note, the HDR Saturation is more like a Vibrance control, it’s not a global thing. If you want to saturate all colours, use the HSL.

Eli Infante Any time. I notice that when you’re looking at color variability, you’re eyeballing it. Is that for speed, or is that all you need? Also, do you ever adjust tint? I feel I need to do this with my Nikon files as they come out too pink.

Is there a difference in adjusting exposure through a filled layer versus the background layer?

Only difference is you won't have the option to lower opacity if needed.

Can you make just a new empty mask? Or do you have to make a filled mask then clear it?

You can do either! I have bad habit of always using filled mask. HAHAHA

I watched a few more of your videos. And I don’t think it’s a bad habit. I found the reason. It’s so you can see the effect. You have to be able to see the effect first, before you clear it, then brush it on. I ran into it when I was trying to edit skin tone on an empty layer and nothing was happening. It’s also nice to see the Luma ranges for dodge and burn before you go in and brush them on.
