Just wanted to share this. JESUS CHRIST died for you on a cross for our sins. 3 days after his death he resurrected and always was, still is, and forevermore the one and only TRUE LIVING GOD. In a prayer repent from your sins and accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and also ask for the HOLY SPIRIT to come into you in that same prayer as well. Have FAITH in CHRIST. You could come to Jesus Christ as you are, but once you accept Him, you have to become new, change, and be born again, and turn away from all wicked ways. Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. God Bless You. Praise only be to God. JESUS CHRIST IS COMING BACK SOON.

Its crazy the amount of negativity our minds are capable of throwing at us. I found that daily meditation is the only way for me to more regularly gain this "observers perspective" and step out of those thought loops. It's often a pain to sit down and practice meditation but my quality of life improves significantly if I stick with it. Great video giacomo, keep it up!

I will be the summary bro: 1. The key to eliminating mental suffering is mastering your thoughts, recognizing that you are not your thoughts but rather an observer of them, and choosing which thoughts to give power to. 2. There are two aspects within you: your higher self, which seeks your highest potential, and your lower self, which seeks comfort and instant gratification. These two selves are in a constant war, with thoughts as their soldiers. 3. Giving attention to thoughts sent by the lower self empowers it, leading you towards a life of comfort-seeking and instant gratification, which is opposed to change and success. 4. To win the war against the lower self, you must understand it fully and refuse to give attention to any thoughts it sends. It is vital to critically analyze your thoughts and the actions they lead to, as they can be deceptive. 5. Success in this process involves training your mind to withdraw attention from manipulative thoughts and returning focus to the present moment. This can be achieved through practices like meditation and the discipline of understanding and controlling thought patterns.

So, the higher self also uses thoughts? Am I that higher self? If I'm not, how do I choose to observe thoughts without a thought telling me to observe thoughts and how can I be certain that this choice to observe thoughts doesn't come from the lower self?

There is no need to imagine a war with a ficticious "lower self". It's a mistake to personify a false self. That attitude only serves to strengthen belief in a non-existent separate "lower self". There is only conditioning, habits and a tendency to personify these things. It's not a useful fiction either. Imagining there's a "lower self" to fight only creates tension, more conditioning, more problems. You are most definitely the awareness of the silent observer, everything else arises in awareness. Welcome your thoughts as honoured guests without holding on to them is infinitely better than imagining they are products of an enemy. The problem is you will get what you expect and make an enemy of your mind. Look into self enquiry practice to ground this understanding. You will quickly discover first hand that "higher" and "lower" selves are fictional. There is only the oneness of a boundless "you" shared by all beings. Frankly I would trust the tried and tested traditions of non-duality, advaita vedanta and Buddhism over the almost-right but dramatic pronouncements on this video

I noticed it blocks me from trying new things, working towards my goals, talking to certain people it throws phrases around like “embarrassing” “not good enough” “too much time” “to much effort” to put me exactly where i am comfortable, and not where i truly want to be

I watched this video this morning. I used to think that young people were less credible because of their relative lack of life experience, but you’ve helped to change my mind about that. I can tell by the content of your video that you have been through enough of this struggle to speak with some authority. I had to pause to deal with something just after you explained about the lower self wanting comfort and cheap gratification and I wondered what you would say was wrong with comfort and cheap gratification. When I returned to your video a bit later, you didn’t let me down. You went on to answer my unspoken question. I agree with you about how crafty and patient the lower self can be. I appreciate that you acknowledge that you occasionally still stumble and that 9/10 successes is better than 0/10. It’s not like a vending machine where putting in $1.99 for a $2 item yields nothing. That’s really helpful to those of us who tend to be “all or nothing” thinkers. I look forward to watching more of your videos.

I think one critique I have on this take is that I believe it is a misnomer to “destroy” the lower self. The goal is not to deprive oneself of simple pleasures of life, but to rather align the lower self and the higher self into one. Through this alignment, our actions both in the lower self and higher self propel us in a direction that is mutually beneficial. Therefore reinforcing the educational, relationship, or career goals that we set out for ourselves. Regardless, good video and helps provoke thought.

You’re definitely on the right track however what I’ve discovered is an emotion needs to felt, acknowledged and an understanding/or something positive about the situation needs to be taken away from the experience before it’s to be let go. And the understanding that some thoughts will come back and that’s ok, they don’t need to always go straight away or they may need to come for a little while, go away and come back. Although we would like them to always go for good. From a person that had ocd and an ocd mind, I’ve learnt not everything can be pushed away by simply observing it or being positive. This is called “toxic positivity” . The emotion needs to be felt and acknowledged without it being judged as right or wrong but simply as an experience the soul/higher self needs to have to be human. This can take 5 seconds or 5 days or come and go for ever. Then it makes it much easier to observe it as you’re saying. How do you tell someone who loses a loved one to observe it? You can’t. They need to feel the lose, why because they love them. Acknowledge I feel this pain because I love them and miss them etc. And perhaps one of my understandings here is that life is about feeling love, I must experience loses of love to fully appreciate love. Nothing needs to be done or fixed now. This can be a huge relief. Then “observe” as your saying or think positive towards the future or any other way that supports you, exercise, positive thinking , enjoying activities and friendships etc . A person can be stuck into feeling guilt or frustration at themselves that they aren’t observing or controlling their mind because “I should be over this by now”. Understanding we are souls having experience and times will be hard but we can get through them Is important to know.

I was on the path to improving my time management and actually working towards something until I got sick a week ago. I allowed myself to choose comfort and pleasure, even when I started feeling better. I knew what I should’ve been doing, and then your video pops up. What a life saver. I am now writing in my journal, two categories: LOWER SELF and HIGHER SELF I am listing all of the thoughts that each side conjures into my mind, now identifying each tactic the lower self uses to self sabotage. I can now isolate all the HIGHER SELF thoughts, bringing those to light to allow myself to further focus on those thoughts, keeping me away from the “dark side.” Thank you for this video, it really opened my mind when I needed it.

Great idea man, I used to write down what tricks the lower self would play on me so I would remember them. Then you know the trick already and you can just laugh it off when it tries again.

This is what meditation is but it’s funny how people are so put off by meditation that they do t even investigate what it is - they just jump to their own conclusions. Really good video - the breakdown between lower and higher self makes it all crystal clear 💎

If you follow your thoughts which you cannot control you can fall in real deep dark places If you can control your thoughts you're a real person who knows it's self, who knows what to do, who knows what to say. That person doesn't believe in taking the right decision he makes a decision and makes it right no matter how hard will that challenge be he will try to always win until the end :D

I was in a cycle of addiction. Trying to overcome myself. My own wreckedness. Two years ago I cried out to God, without knowing who Jesus was. I had been doing rituals, astrology, tarot, and I had not only addictions, but also a perverted mind and no matter what I did I couldn't overcome the deep depression and emptiness I had felt since I was 10. I was bullied, traumatized, I held a lot of hatred even towards my family. The best thing to describe it is being in the middle of a deep dark ocean with no hope. God saved me when I begged Him to help me in 2021. This day is the day that I met the love of God. I left God behind when I was little, I had a relationship with Him but the lust and pride of life made me think I could live without Him, or that He didn't care about what I did or if I destroyed myself. I'm just trying to say if any of you feel this way you need to know there is hope in HIM. He can set you free. We alone cannot do this. You are not alone. If you ever felt you needed a Savior and thought that there is none: Jesus DIED for you to set you free from death and sin. Turn back, and ask Him to send you His Holy Spirit. To help you know HIM truly. There is nobody too far gone for Him. He defeated death for you. He created and knows you. There is nothing that can make Him stop loving you. Call on Him in truth with all of your heart and you will know His salvation.

YOU ARE CORRECT. YOUR HIGHER SELF IS YOUR CONSCIOUS, LOWER SELF SUB-CONSCIOUS. THE SUBCONSCIOUS IS VERY IMPORTANT (KEEPING YOUR HEART BEATING ETC.) BUT WILL AS YOU SUGGEST, PROVIDE DIRECTION TO PLEASURE OVER SUBSTANCE. BEING AN UNBIASED JUDGE OF YOURSELF IS IMPORTANT. I WOULD CHANGE DESTROYING WITH CONTROLLING WHEN IT COMES TO YOUR SUBCONSCIOUS. Thank you for this video. As someone who has been reacting to recent changes in a negative way, my mind gets bombarded with fears and thoughts that I don't approve of. When I finally had them have less power of me, it caused me to believe that I approved of them or that I was an emotionless person. So, I said them out loud and the real me criticized them. It made me realize that those thoughts aren't me and that my mind was portraying me as someone I wasn't. Because I had visualized myself as a bad person, it made me believe I WAS a bad person. I'm still recovering but I'm glad they don't have as much power over me as I thought they would. We all fear that we may end up a way we don't like or approve of but remember 85% of what we fear NEVER even happens. So, if we take that food for thought, we will be much happier.

All our thoughts come from the one consciousness that we are all part of. Some thoughts are not even our own just appear out of the pool of thought. The one consciousness wants us to choose our thoughts wisely. We can create heaven or hell with our thoughts actions & behaviours. Start seeing thoughts as devil thoughts or angel thoughts is a good way to start segregating and becoming aware of our own thinking. Meditation helps to become aware. Quite often we can be completely unaware of our own thoughts & we are not in the driving seat. Become the driver & steer ourselves into a brighter direction 😊

Absolutley brilliant. I've spoken about this analogy before in the group recovery meetings I run. That I had a higher and a lower power within me. Unfortunatley the higher power was vastly underplayed because the lower power was dominant. It was dominant because it never needed to be challenged. The higher power was never provoked or strengthened by parents because to stimulate my higher power would require them to have to develop their higher power and they weren't available for that. Very important information for those who are ready to hear it!

Don't forget that if you don't like a thought or disagree with one, just acknowledge it and dismiss it, because the more you fight with it the more power you give over to it. If you just recognize and dismiss it, it won't become as repetitively intrusive.

According to The Law of Attraction's third and most important part. The Law of Allowing: Feel good in your thoughts, emotions, vibrational balance and in the stories that you tell. Because you get more of the stories that you tell, so only tell stories that you actually want more of. so don't tell stories about stuff that you don't want more of because you will attract more of them. I studied Abraham Hicks -The Law of Attraction material for 25 years and it is very helpful in improving your life and attracting and allowing your desires. The single most important thing of that is for you to FEEL GOOD NOW. Because when you feel good now for any reason eve n if it has nothing to do with your desire. It is a divine sign that you are in alignment with Source energy, and therefore you are attracting and allowing your desires into your life. So turn off the bad news and terrible feeling videos because and terrible gossiping it makes you feel bad and can block your desires.
