One week on from earning her World Champion title in St George, Lucy decides to take on SuperLeague Malibu. With a lack of preparation for the fast and furious racing this event was all about having fun and getting stuck into some short course experience!
But what does the future hold for Lucy in the short course circuit?
Follow along for some behind the scenes fun with the other short course athletes (including magic by Jonny Brownlee), and see what's involved for the pro's who take part in these events, aside from just racing!

More than enough on show at Leeds and Superleague (off minimal prep) to suggest that you can be more than competitive over short course. Whatever you decide you’ll be a great success! Looking forward to following along with the journey.

Great vlog as usual👍 Stay long course as next year you have two Ironman world champs plus defending your world title. That's a lot for the body to cope with but you are a World champ and you know better than anyone what your limits are. Ironman 2022 champ. Ironman 70.3 2022 champ. What a year ahead.👍

Great video Lucy, massive congrats on a really successful year, again. Question for you though. Will you be announcing your race plans for 2022 at all or is that something that you generally keep under wraps. It’ll make following you loads easier if we know what races you’re doing over and above the expected 70.3 worlds and Kona. We just want to watch you race lol.

I saw some coverage and agree with the commentators that the 2 girls in front got a boost from the motorbikes otherwise it might have been possible to close the gap instead of burning matches. Anyway, you still did awesome!

You have the potential to be the GOAT. Get a couple WC Ironman Titles, then go after the Olympic gold at the next olympics and then back to long distance for the most Titles Ever!! 😀😀😀

Olympic qualification starts May 2022 and you need to be racing now to get points to qualify for the qualification races.

Lucy You've got this all you need to work on is Your Transitions, and Take a good look howThey Set their Bikes up, Rubber Bands for their Bike Shoes and talc andVaseline for Your Running Shoes , you Can do this.

sometimes the music overlaid is very loud but when lucy's actually talking her audio is quite low so i'm constantly changing volume setting, if volume could be more consistent that would help too!!

Honestly, the super league, appears like a lot of stress. it seems like they would try anything to make the competition more appealing...somehow in all the pushing hard, seems hard to fall into a running "flow"... I thought, lucy´s bike seemed a bit too small but I have no experience and no knowledge, so is just an impression
