Elina Svitolina is Strasbourg CHAMPION once again! 😚🏆

Elina Svitolina captured the 17th title of her career, and first as a mom, with victory at the 2023 Internationaux de Strasbourg!
The former World No.3 got past Louisa Chirico, Erin Routliffe (by walkover), Varvara Gracheva and Clara Burel on her way to the final, where she defeated Anna Blinkova in straight sets.
Ukraine's most decorated player also improved to 10-0 in WTA 250 finals, and 6-0 in clay-court finals in her career.

Svitolina is always a threat. Watch out for her at the French. You must imagine that being with Monfils, she has picked up other things in tennis rather than just hitting hard. It will be interesing if she can break through the top three. Women's tennis is currently supreme! (Let Halep play! Jeez!)

I still disagree with the 'not shaking hands thing' but everyone is indoctrinated and brainwashed to one degree or another, I know, I am. If NATO lets up, maybe the Russians will let up and peace can happen but there are things not told.

@@docfrank7745 Hahahaa! Na, I don't think so myself, but to each their own. She's trying to get a court date to prove her innocents but it is slow going. Even Romanian Cirstea said, they are not friends but she believes Halep wouldn't cheat. Supposedly Halep has proof of her innocents but the commitee she's up against is dragging their feet. Maybe they don't want to be proven wrong.

That's the reason - they playing for themselves with "no country", so why no handshake? That's some hypocrisy in here, if they're began to banning countries for wars, they should ban other ones who act the same as well 😶

In this match, it was the other player who wouldn’t shake Elina’s hand - you can see that Elina was reaching to go shake her hand but the other player didn’t do it

Bringing dirty politics in sports should be discouraged! Not shaking hands with Russian players is unsportsmanlike conduct!

They aren't being unsportsmanlike, they are simply choosing not to do something they don't feel comfortable with. And no one should be forced to do something they don't feel comfortable with. Nor should they be criticised for it.
