What a beautiful woman !! I just discovered her while watching the movie "American Hustle" where she played a middle aged Italian wife to the mayor of New Jersey, and she looked gorgeous and played the role beautifully. Her voice is deep and rich, and it is the voice that movie stars in the 1940's used to have. A real woman's voice, not the wimpy, whiny, high-pitched little girly voices that so many women have today. She looks totally different in all of her Google photos, which is exactly what every actress wants, in order to play so many different roles. 'Wonderful actress and a beautiful woman. 'Hope to see more of her in many different roles.

0:54 I ran into Jack Palance (longtime scary tough-guy actor) as he was walking into the Beverly Hills Hotel. As he walked by, I stopped him and told him how compelling his reading of "The Ballad of Anabele Lee" was last night on his Tonight Show appearance. He ignored me and continued walking up the red carpet toward the lobby, then he stopped and slowly turned around, staring at me with that frightening grimace, and he slowly started walking toward me. I was terrified, but he approached me, held out his hand and shook mine and quietly said, "Thank you so much, I always appreciate it when someone recognizes my work, and last night's reading was very meaningful to me". I was shocked and relieved, but from that moment forward, every time I spoke to a celebrity, I always complimented their work, and not a single one ever walked away or shunned me. Most of them wanted to hear more about how their work affected me or touched me. It wasn't about ego, image or celebrity. It was about their craft.

The shock of Röhm's exit, however, was partly her choice. "When I was leaving, Dick Wolf said, 'Do you want a splashy ending or a typical 'Law & Order' ending?'" We're glad she went out with a bang.

One of the reasons why actress Hennessy left the series is because she felt the role was "limited". Speaking to The Morning Call back in 2006, she said: "One of the reasons you see actors moving on is that it's so easy to become typecast. "If they see you in that one light, people presume that's all you can do. "I was getting that from day one, with casting directors basically thinking, 'She can't do comedy. She can't do emotional work'." The actress said she was keen to have a varied career and not stay in the same genre. Following her exit she starred in NBC's Crossing Jordan, followed by Madam Secretary and Shots Fired.

The first time I noticed Elizabeth Rohm was in Bull, a show about a group of stockbrokers. In that show, she had something going with Stanley Tucci's character and she was stunning. She still is and she really is an excellent actress.

I had the unexpected privilege of being an extra on the film Joy and getting to spend some time with Elisabeth. I was chosen to the the cab driver for the funeral scene and spent a couple of hours doing takes with her. She was so kind and down to earth and it was an honor to have this experience. I had been instructed not to engage the actors in conversation-- but sitting in a car with someone for that amount of time felt awkward without speaking at all. So I appreciated the fact that she was willing to converse with me and seemingly tolerant of my ignorance to certain things (it was my first and only time being an extra).

@mikel9248
@mikel9248 3 жыл бұрын
Kara, thanks for the reply! I wish I had the time for more opportunities here in MA, but that was the only time I have ever done it. I have heard from many that being an extra is mostly just sitting around all day doing nothing (and 90% of us who showed up that morning were never even used), so everyone told me I really lucked out. But yes, it was a long process for just a short scene. A funny moment was around the 5th or so take when Elisabeth got in the backseat and said "I think he (David O'Russell) wants you to drive a little faster". Anyway, she was a total sweetheart... and it was also an obvious thrill to be on the set with Robert DeNiro.

I can only imagine! It does sound like you hit the jackpot there. It's great that you really appreciated it for what it was. I once sat about 10 feet away from De Niro and it' was incredible. I had zero contact with him, but wow, it was something else!

Great to hear, Mike - thank you! It's been fun and Michael has been a great friend to me and the show. I'm hoping to have Aida Turturro (Janice Soprano) back on the show soon (our first episode was when the podcast was brand new -- 2017). And there are also a couple of talks with Tim Daly. Another great guy. Hope you enjoy more of my talks!

Some fans have a deluded notion that actors and actresses all them something. They don’t until Katy Perry comes over and does your laundry or Mumford & Sons help you out with your lawn work or give you money to buy a car they don’t owe you anything and you don’t owe them anything either. I have met some famous people in without the writers actors actresses and song makers would not exist.
