Жыл бұрынThe Joint Task Force 2 (JTF 2) is an elite special operations force of the Canadian Armed Forces, operating under the Canadian Special Operations Forces Command. The JTF 2 is known to work with other special operations forces such as the Delta Force, SEAL Team Six, British SAS, and British SBS. The unit has distinguished itself as a Tier 1 world-class special operations force.
Serving as the centerpiece of Canadian special operations, the JTF 2's main function is to conduct both domestic and international counterterrorism operations, specializing in direct action, special reconnaissance and surveillance, hostage rescue, protective security, foreign internal defense, and other high-value tasks. Much of the information about the JTF 2 is classified and not disclosed by the Canadian government.

JTF 2 is the Canadian version of 1-SFODD, and is first and above all else, a counter-terrorist/ hostage rescue force. Like all aspects of the Canadian military, Canadians wold support and root for these guys if we only knew.

@@Memento_Mori3210 I don’t think anyone can equal the SAS. Delta, DEVGRU, SASR, and the New Zealand SASR might think they can , and sundry officials in the Canadian government might actually say that JTF2 can, but we all know that, if you dried those plaudits out, you could fertilize your lawn. It sounds very good to say that you rival the SAS,but come on…no one can, so don’t even try, Just be as good as you can be, know that no one can equal, let alone exceed, the SAS, and get on with it.

@@Memento_Mori3210 I’ve heard about these sorts of pissing contests but I never thought I’d actually see one. If one is actually convinced that group X is as capable as the SAS, then there is no point in any further “discussion” because there is no persuading that person otherwise…no amount of “convincing” will ever be enough. No link, no personal testimony, nothing.

You missed out on two significant missions. The Japanese embassy siege and the movie Tears of the Sun, which was based on an real world JTF2 mission.

yup JTF 2 service entry requirements are tough ... they make Basic training look like a sunday picnic with the family ... the special scouting they mention is Infiltration .. age isnt as much a factor as skill set is though ... the more you have the more likely you will get asked to try out ... being a good shot with any weapon ... good at hide n seek ... and excellent memory recall with an aptitude for languages and you will get asked more often than not .. and yes sniping 30 out of 30 at max range is a good way to get noticed ...

The badge shown at 00:36 is CSOR. You can see the top of the letters in frame. CSOR is a completely separate unit.

@@kaboom-zf2bl No, that is incorrect. They are separate units; JTF 2 does not work "inside" CSOR. CSOR does not have nor does it wear unit patches that identify its operators as "CSOR"; the unit's epaulets are marked CSOR, but those are worn only in garrison.

hahaha "...sent underJean KRAY-TEEN". French Canadian names can be tough to pronounce but it should sound closer to "Gee-Yon Kret-Chen" (said really fast)

yes they did ... just because you didnt know of them doesnt mean they didnt ... I know several of the first classes ... used to gas their cars when they arrived in the village for the next round of training .. kind of helped I was one as well at the time ... YES JTF2 DID exist in time for OKA ...
