Started watching this the other day & ordered both of your books! Arrived last night & can’t wait to read them both. I love the way you both think about things. The journey I have been on has been hard & painful but I’m so glad I went through it as the person I have become is stronger. You are both so inspiring!

Just found this podcast and I think this episode is one of the most beautifully insightful conversations I've ever heard. I mean it had everything! It had talking about silly questions society wants you to ask yourself, dealing with failure, and how to express yourself in relationships. These kind of conversations are so important ❤️ thank you guys 10/10

Steve I found your podcast fairly recently via the recommended page on KZfaq (having never followed you in the past so had no preconceived ideas) and I am totally HOOKED! Firstly I loved this episode with Elizabeth and how honest and vulnerable she was about so many topics, but also I just wanted to say I think you are the most incredible interviewer! You have such an amazing balance of being able to ask difficult questions and gently push guests to explore answers in more depth, but whilst also holding such a safe space for them to be able to do so. I also love that you are able to discuss and relate your own experiences to the topic without overpowering the guest and their story! 👏🏼 I look out for a new episode every time I open KZfaq ☺️

Super refreshing to see you both be so open and vulnerable here. Another great episode. Thank you! Don't know if it's you or your team that reads these, but your pod has helped me stay focussed and consistent in pursuit of my goals - I am already seeing incredible results. I only started listening a couple months ago and am making my way through old eps - just finished listening to Part 1 and 2 of your 2020 reflections and I was screaming 'YES!!' out loud in public like a crazy person lol. It's like you were reading from MY journal. I feel so strongly about the points you raised and i'm so glad someone with an audience as large as yours is speaking about these things. Your impact is considerably more far reaching than you'll ever realise. Thank you so much ❤️

Thank you Elizabeth & Steven for making this episode. It was like you got together and said “Let’s make an episode for Connie” which I’m sure never happened but thank you!! With regards to what happens to your brain when you’re in the gym, shower, etc it’s related to your brainwaves. When your mind is deeply relaxed you’re in the theta brainwave state - the conscious mind is much less active in this state and you’re more connected to your subconscious mind and so have increased problem solving ability, creativity and intuition. I say that as a GP who is training to become a hypnotherapist. Hypnosis makes use of this theta brainwave state.

Ohhhhh Steven, I loved this episode with Elizabeth Day. What a wonderful conversation you had together. I truly enjoyed the laughter you shared and so many great gems to pocket. I especially felt the Oprah reference which Elizabeth made, "create the space for the new thing to come which means leaving something behind." Thank you as always Steven. Your wisdom is incredible, as Elizabeth said. Hope she finds a young 85 year old match for you! ; )

Thank you for your honesty on your feelings around miscarriage. I am pretty sure many many women who voiced their stress about lockdown home schooling would also understand your pain and longing. Many people suffer miscarriage and infertility in silence and that adds to a collective pain. I'm glad I found this podcast as it has given me 2 new people to listen to, a very enjoyable conversation. Thank you.

I can relate to the "enough" bit however i think in the subconscious our inner dialogue can be so deep to past trauma (often that we suppress), past lives (if you believe in that) that sometimes EVEN when our thoughts in the conscious present mind are positive we still get triggered by the ego ( deep healing that comes through). Essentially the things that come up that we have to work on( triggers- reactions of anger, passive aggressive behavior, validation) are threads that lead us to our subconscious mind and belief system. This belief system is often created at a very young age, We can rewrite these programs and beliefs once we bring them into the conscious mind; which i believe is when we heal. But that takes time and more importantly AWARENESS of patterns - big fan of your work my podcast is called Upon Reflection with Brigitte

This was so refreshing Steven. Also just to make you feel better - there are many women who are also fine with less contact time and understand that partners have different priorities. Like Elizabeth said, it’s all about communication and being transparent about who you are and how much you can commit. You’ll find the right person! X

I can so relate to the differences in communication professionally and in personal life.. I guess the reason is that when one is invested emotionally, it involves a certain commitment that tugs on a part of us where the likelihood of pain has to be avoided at all cost. I tend to communicate better when I'm not emotionally invested than when I am invested emotionally.. it's like I become a tale of two persons, I'm Learning to change that... this podcast like many is very insightful!
