lol Well, some people find it refreshing and comical just to see a politicians being, well, kind of human. Most people do drink once in a while; it's normal, especially at a social event. Harper cabinet won't even allow an independent investigation into the military's systemic problems with sexual assault - against the recommendation of the actual military. Yeah, it's true. In every way shape and form. Harper's government consists of openly fascist extremists. Of course anyone who read Harper's university papers is not at all surprised by this. Unfortunately people seem to think the Liberals will save them. They're just a different side of the same coin. Note how they voted on bill C-51. Anyone who supports Conservative policy is awfully ignorant of history. Know why? Because when you give government authoritarian powers they always abuse them and the country as a whole suffers. And folks say things like "I don't care if they spy on me (or lock up terrorists without a trial or whatever...), I do nothing wrong." - hey, McFly - you don't get to decide what's right and wrong. The government does, which is why it's always a dumb idea to push for more and more authoritarian measures. But what does Harper do? Play on the fears of pussies like yourself. And the Liberals play on the out and out ignorance (of the voters, many of which probably won't even realize they almost always go along with the Conservatives on everything important) and their general fear of Harper. Meanwhile the media plays these sides off against each other while the country continues to slide into absolute authoritarianism with both parties consent. All authoritarian policy exists to protect those in power. Not anyone else. Never has been that way, never will be that way. If the government decides tomorrow you're a potential threat expect CSIS at your door. Regardless of what you do.
