I know a lot of people weren’t too crazy already for the Skull Warriors, but can we at least appreciate how much more interesting their combo models were compared to the Toa and Protectors?

The powered up Skull Grinder is the best one beacouse he managed to give the scorpio a purpose...

While never confirmed, I'm certain the Skull Grinder + Scorpio combo is supposed to represent Kulta's powered up form when he puts on the Mask of Creation. His mod l never changed in the animations because 1) Saves time and money and/or 2) G2's production was a mess.

I wish they made a combo using loss and Skull grinder and called it skull mosqito, I would build that! Edit: A user named Bloodstone Ore has built the skull mosquito! Check it out by clicking on one of his replies and going to his channel. He did an excellent job!

These aren't bad considering 2009 and 2010 had one each.

It's shame 2015's combos were so underwhelming; the increased complexity of the sets gave such potential.

I know they aren't official combo models, but I would love to see you review DrScorpionX's transforming 2015 combo models. (and possibly 2016 when those are finished) They look cool as heck animated but I would like to hear your opinions on the construction and how well they stand outside the camera.

8:06 He reminds me of Orrore Profondo from Gormiti because of his bone-wings and "fire" color scheme.

I am very much tempted to rewrite the story of 2015 and make use of each of these combinations while refining them and creating some new ones. In the future once I have stability though.

Well you can give Kopaka the shield as his Snowshoes for his power up mode. Edit: Also I noticed something with special Kopaka when I had it built, and that is you can swap the spear on his back, and the shield sort of similar to Skull Warrior. I don’t know if it was intentional or not.

Kulta Kal was such a missed opportunity - even if he was more impressive in the concept art than in the final combiner, the fact that they never made use of the design in canon 100% proper is a bit of a disappointment.

I...honestly just hate the name...nothing special whatsoever while g1 combo actually did have names and actually impacted the story in itself!

For me this proves Lego lost faith in this line. The sets itself were great. They had good pieces! The combos could have been amazing as proved by many fans!
