I love my Cobra Harvester... When I started I couldn't get comfortable with a trigger/wrist release and a thumb button with a closed index ring just feels the absolute best to me and makes my draw smoother and my anchor more solid.

Yeah that's my first ever thumb button and it works great. I did order the accessories to make the button larger

Loved the Nock2It, but the Perfex thumb is my favorite so far. So much adjustability, ability to run it as a 2, 3, or 4 finger out of the box, as well as different length posts and two barrel sizes. Love it! I do miss the enclosed finger spinner though. 😂

Love my Nock2it as well. You can adjust your form to use it just like a tension or even a hinge, and I do really like that the Silverback feels exactly the same to train your pull

I'm a STAN guy, myself. I have a Perfex HM thumb, Perfex resistance, Element, Morex and I'm thinking of switching to the Onnex line. It's for sure a rabbit hole. I do have a TRU Ball Beast XT also, but I prefer the thumb Perfex for hunting. I execute the shot using back tension when using my thumb button Perfex

I have been shooting the Stan OnneX for a few months now. If anyone is interested in a release to try I would give it a shot. It is butter smooth no trigger travel and most importantly it is quiet for a thumb trigger.

Once again, great info without regard to a specific brand. You seem to be able to jump from one release to another with ease. I just watched a video where I believe the Stan has come out with a thumb, hinge, and tension release that are exactly the same size. Brilliant. I practiced with the Silverback, the the the Carter Wisechoice because of this. Your thoughts ?

Thanks for watching! As long as you can get the same anchor point, and control the process you can't go wrong!

The Carter Wise Choice new model, with tension adjustment only, no travel adjustment is a super great one to use. Setup right it can be used just like a hinge. All you have to do is set it where you use your back muscles and pull thru theshot. You Do not have to move your thumb, fingers or hand- just pull and it will slide & rotate enough to fire it. For target the Carter Total Control is a two moon hinge style. Can be set to click or not and timed to your shooting cycle time. More training to use it in about any wind conditions if used without forcing the shot. Try the Carter Quickie Plus on the strap for a index finger release. Set it with no travel and light tension ( change tension springs) and the finger hooked very deep over the trigger. Lock your finger over the trigger and pull thru the shot never moving the finger. Make the back muscles do the work ALL the while you are focused on the exact spot you want to hit. The release activation part of the shot becomes an almost unconscious automatic action. There's no brain thought going back and forth between your finger, hand, etc. All you do is pull.

I shot with a boy for years that shot a index trigger and can’t tell u how many 360 indoor rounds he has shot with a index release. It’s what u fill comfortable with.

We're all different, and archery is about constancy. As long as it works for that shooter, there's no reason to shoot anything different!

I got sick of cheap releases failing and chewing up my D loop and got myself an onyx in the brass version. I can see that I'll still have this release in years to come. You get what you pay for i guess

the carter wise choice was a good release until i developed some of the worst target panic of my career. Switched back to my scott samurai index and have never looked back.

Releases are cool to talk about but if you punch any trigger you will be inconsistent. You have to consciously run your shot and your release.
