Correct me if I'm wrong, but Marinette didn't get akumatized because of Lila specifically right? Everyone is saying it's Lila, but I interpreted that she's upset because Adrien got akumatized into Chat Blanc and killed her. Chloe (the girl who bullied her for YEARS) took her miraculous and saved her, but has not given it back, probably because her identity was revealed. She can't be ladybug anymore, but she's angry and resentful of it because Chloe has her miraculous now. Lila just egged on her emotions by saying that she failed, poking at her insecurities, and none of her friends really defended her. The only one who said anything was Chloe and it was about ”what about Ladybee?” so you can imagine Lila’s words just made her realize how unfair it all is...at least that's what I thought was happening tell me if I'm wrong 😂

Perfect song! This was a perfect way of showing how the akumatised person still cares about the people they love, but in Marinette's case, she has to fight the one she loves. You executed this scene of personal conflict perfectly

I hate to be THAT GUY, but I mean in all sincerity when i impart on you this bit of criticism. I think you missed out out on a really good shot that would have made this number even better. The frame you used of Marinette on her feet at 1:30 disrupts the flow of the scene. Had you drawn her leaning forward in her seat, getting to her feet when Cassandra was shouting, "Is that what you think I am?" would have made a more dramatic emphasis to this scene as a whole, and at the same time bridge her being seated to her on her feet. You took great time in order to produce this, and it shows, but take a little longer to plan out the flow of the scene before you draw each piece. I think your next installment in this engrossing narrative you've designed will become a greater work.

This is evidence that tangled songs fit almost every show.

It could be me overanalyzing Akumatized Marinette's design, but I love how her entire left arm has the signature pink-ish color of the 'telepathy masks', possibly referencing how she intentionally let the akuma into her necklace(? Still confused on what the item was) as it was in her left hand (I think)

Omg 300 re-watches! I can’t even!!! It’s so good! The song is perfect for the story you’ve come up with! How is this not an actual frickin episode!! You’re also so good at drawing!

Things I loved about this: 1. The color consistency Okay, as someone who has worked with multiple characters in both animation and animatics, I have never had the guts to keep consistent colors for characters during something as long as this song. This by far was one of the most impressive aspects of this animatic to me. 2. The room/environment consistency The room feels real to me. Even with little detail, I can get a strong sense of where the characters are in the scene at any given time. Not much more to say on this point other than that is something I have struggled with for a long while and you did an amazing job! 3. The design consistency Nothing is missing in the shots, nothing is suddenly added in the shots, every new element is introduced in a way that makes sense for the viewer, it is just good. It was well thought out and adds to the animatic a LOT. 4. Your anatomy for the characters I'm sorry, as someone who has struggled with anatomy for YEARS you show the characters in dynamic poses, are not afraid to show hands, use multiple ratios of shoulders, waist, and full-body shots and I am in awe. You should feel proud of what you can do. Things to work on: 1. You have the tendency to have characters centered in the frame most of the time and I noticed you broke away from that a couple times during 1:24 and 1:56. Try playing with more dynamic shots that emphasize the emotion you are after. There are tons of youtube tutorials to help out with this. These shots add so much more emotion to the animatic. Straight-ahead shots work great for frames like 1:21 and 2:02 where we are centering in on the character. Using it too much could end up taking away from the shots. 2. The animatic was amazing but some of the shots lasted a bit long. In the original song 2:39-2:46 had Darian and Casandra going in circles around each other to avoid extending a static shot for too long. By taking that away, you instead added slight changes to Mari's arm. This could work in animation, but in the animatic, it seems to drag a little bit. Maybe using a dynamic shot in-between the lines of the bridge showing quick shots of her arm lighting up and going back to the building tension could intensify the scene. I share this not because I somehow am an all-knowing expert on the subject, but I see a lot of things right in this. This is something that screams passion and I can tell you put a LOT of work into this. My critique is not to "fix" your work. It is something I noticed as someone who has worked with animatics and animation. This animatic was incredible and the LAST thing I want to do is take away from that accomplishment. You are an amazing artist and I see a lot of talent and passion in you. My critique is my personal observation and you should always evaluate your work before trying to take my ideas and stuff them into your art. There is a lot to unpack from this video. But I would specifically like to point out how Chat Noir absolutely ruined each of his chances. She was already emotionally volatile when he showed up. Yet seemingly without conflicting emotions. His diplomatic approach got under her skin. And moved her away from pure bitterness to doubtfulness. Her center of gravity was further moved the more gust reached her most painful memories. This was his opening. If he could convince her to stop, the withdrawal process would be easier. Remember he cannot argue with her since she is under influence. Unfortunately he became far too specific. "Becoming the villain" doesn’t simply come with moral implications. It also pissed her off. His previous statements were broad enough to let her come to her own conclusions. Painful conclusions which she could only blame herself for reaching. But he is indirectly calling her a rag doll. It frankly didn’t matter to her that she influenced by Peacock Miraculous. It was still her heavy decision. You don’t have to know her for long to realize how far this was from her moral compass. And would it have been *too* much for Chat to realize that her decision wasn’t taken lightly? Her emotional response was simply to become close minded since he seemingly didn’t actually know what he was talking about. It didn’t help that he doubled down. And gave her the perfect vector to redirect her emotions away from herself. There is a Japanese anime where the protagonist Naruto similarly loses an argument with his rogue teammate Sasuke. The difference is the Naruto moved on to Plan B. He tried to drag his friend back to Hidden Leaf even if had to break single every bone in Sasuke's body.

Ok this is really cool but the "Is that what you think I am?" when Adrien said becoming a villain isn't the answer, made me laugh cuz like...yes Mari, you literally are an akumatized villain rn. Also, since Marinette is Cass I'm thinking of Lila as Zhan Tiri, since she's controlling marinette through the akumatization, like Zhan Tiri manipulates Cass
