The writers actually did a good job translating how sharks actually behave into Ellen's personality. When they aren't on the hunt, sharks are very aloof and just kind of exist. They also do not sleep for long periods of time, as they'll die if they do. So they translated these qualities to Ellen as being extremely introverted and tired all the time, until it's time to get to work. And then she goes ballistic in battle, like when a shark smells blood.

You can clearly see it's still Goo Team's animation style, but I can't help but feel like they pulled some of the jumpiness and exaggeration from ZZZ's animation. If I am right in my observation, it makes me appreciate this even more

@@ghosterino Even the factions are 4-man squads. Actually, Team RWBY would fit Zenless really, really good. Weiss would be an Ice Anomaly that specialises in applying Anomalies off-field (her chain attack summons a beowolf, her ult summons the Arma Gigas) and debuffing enemies (her skill would increase damage taken by enemies). Ruby would be a Physical Attack that zooms in and out of battle, using something simmilar to Ellen’s Roaming State, while performing certain actions like perfect dodges and assists Ruby would turn into a cloud of petals in which state she is invulnerable for a short (1-2 seconds) duration. Yang would be a Fire Defense character, with Resistance to Interruption on most of her moveset and a powerful self-regenerating shield, Yang wants to take damage and dish it back out, regenerating a small amount of health and granting shielding to the rest of her team. Blake is an Ether Support character, opening enemies up for follow up attacks. She is a melee character, but has Evasion Assist instead of Parry. Her EX skill and Chain Attack also activate Vital View, allowing her and her teammates to squeeze in some serious hurt. Ruby’s ult is normally something simmilar to Seele’s, where she shoots the enemy and then follows up with a powerful slash, but if Weiss is in the team, she adds Ice damage to Ruby’s shot and velocity glyphs to Ruby’s runup for increased damage and Ice Flower. It allows Weiss to Quick Assist in during the ult animation. Weiss’s ult is a powerful summon and a blast of Ice, but when Yang is on the team, she will jump in for Freezerburn and add a little fire to the mix. This enables Yang to quick assist in during the ult animation. Yang’s ultimate is a powerful ground slam after a long windup that deals increased damage and stun the longer Yang is in the fight and the more damage she’s taken. If Blake is in the team, she will join Yang for Bumbleby increasing Yang’s damage and adding some Ether damage on top. This allows Blake to Quick Assist in during the animation. Blake’s ultimate is a series of rapid slashes (like Keqing), and when Ruby is in the team, she joins in on the fun, effectively executing Ladybug. This allows Ruby to Quick Assist in during the ultimate.

DillonGoo Studios WAS in talks for an acquisition to acquire the IP for themselves, but unfortunately it fell through because "some things didn't align." Regardless, RWBY has a new home with VIZ. Wonder what they'll do with the IP.
