Ellie coming back for Isaac was a certified girl boss moment. Queen literally went "man thinks he's gonna sacrifice himself for me? Hold my fucking beer."

Among the single best depictions of a strong female character in all of gaming. She never feels forced; nothing she does seems out of character. As natural and badass as Ripley from the Aliens series. props to the writers. and a damn shame what they did to her in DS3.

It’s eerie how you can see Ellie in a lot of areas and your JUST within reach of more survivors but never too close.

I never notice but I think Stross' vision is actually just the camera, on the tram with ellie issat and stross, he says "he's looking at me again!" As soon as he gets on screen and briefly looks in the camera and sits down then looks over his shoulder, probably back at it again

I was pleasantly surprised at quickly I rooted for Ellie in this game. Like, literally by the time I got to the part where Isaac watches Stross attack Ellie in the eye, I actually felt a pit in my stomach over that, and I knew then and there I loved her character. She survived it all, and I couldn't be more happy. And then she f*cking risks her LIFE again to rescue Isaac, and she rooted herself in my top ten favorite female videogame characters. She was strong minded, strong willed, very intelligent and skillful, but empathetic and compassionate. She is amazing. Now I'm not a fan of how she was treated in DS3. She didn't have that same "edge" she had in the second game. She was still very intelligent and had her skills, and she was still empathetic and compassionate (she was understandably upset with Isaac over the Norton situation, and kind of lashed at him in pain, but she quickly understands Isaac had no choice and lets him know it wasn't his fault, and that she does love him). I just wish she had more moments in battle, because I'm a complete sucker for seeing empowered badass women SHOWING their badass-ness instead of being damsels (it's one of the reason I love Lightning from Final Fantasy so much - 99% of the time, Lightning kicks butt, and if she's captured, she somehow gets away and still kicks butt).

I kinda find it funny that Ellie starts off as the I'm done with people type but then by the next game she's the one trying to stop the markers and Isaac is the one saying I don't care.

I REALLY don't mind the Dead Space 2 Severed DLC, it's actually really cool that we get to see and old character from the franchise, Gabe Weller. But I really think a nice DLC could have been one where we see the entire game from Ellie's perspective.

You missed the part where she brings out Isaac's sass by asking him "are you alright" right in the middle of a gauntlet and he's like "Oh yeah! Good times!"

It's a shame what they did with her character in dead space 3. Part of why dead space 2 is the best is her and Isaac's relationship they feel like partners working together. Not one needing to be constantly saved or something both save each other.
