How to you seam the exact seam allowance on the serger, cause I find it difficult if I have to seam a 1/2 or 1/4 seam allowance, with no marks on the serger. On a sewing machine it is easy because of the plate, but serger doesn't have a plate. I love love your videos.

I think the server blade is the 1/4 inch line. Measure from your left needle to the edge of the blade. From 1/2 inch, my sister had me measure from left needle to 1/2 inch and I placed a little sticky note/washi tape marker vertically on the cover that drops open for threading.

Would it be possible to attach the cuff to the sleeve before we sew up the side seam (and sleeve seam)? I don’t think I’m going to be able to serge the cuff onto the sleeve without ruining it.

Lisa Peden I haven’t done it but it should work. You will just have to pin at the middle and stretch and then after sewing the sides closed you would tuck in the serger tail.

Lisa the reason that they do it the way they do on the pattern is so that you don’t see the seam on the ends of the seams at the edge of the cuffs.
