Sri Lanka's Worst Train Ain't Too Bad 🇱🇰

Күн бұрынWe took Sri Lanka's lowest class train journey from Kandy to Colombo.
First we took a 4 hour bus from Maha Oya to Kandy in Central Sri Lanka. Here we had a fantastic rice and curry lunch before taking Sri Lanka's third class unreserved train from Kandy to Colombo.
Luckily the train wasn't busy at all so the journey was super enjoyable. We met so many nice Sri Lankan people and the scenery was unbelievable.
The travel day wasn't over yet, we then had to get another local train from Colombo to Negombo which was pretty terrible.
Upon arrival in Negombo we met loads of dishonest auto rickshaw drivers so we just decided to walk the 30 minutes in the blazing heat to our hotel.
I've gotta say Sri Lankan trains definitely ain't too bad! 🇱🇰

Just pay the money u clown 400 SLR = £1.08 .. the price of fuel there with inflation is out the water. Plus the guy has to drive back to the station which is 3.2 KM in total.

Hello! I'm watching from Thailand. I've been to Sri Lanka quite a number of times and I really love it. And I love the weather there esp. in Kandy and Nuwara Eliya. The sentiment of ancient cities like Anuradhapura and Polonnaruwa is really peaceful. When I was there, I just din't want to leave for anywhere else. Wish you the best time in that beautiful island. ❤❤

6:55 legend. 🤟 This guy says the price to the camera because of the recent trending scam KZfaq videos of Sri Lankan sellers. 1900/- Rs. Kottu guy 🤮from Aluthkade, Colombo and 800 Rs. Wade guy🤮 from Kaluthara. This guy is showing the real honesty of real Sri Lankans by not scamming. The lady eats Sri Lankan staple food which is obviously rice like a pro. 🤟 She starts eating from the closet part of the plate, She mixes the side dishes with rice using hands perfectly and eats enjoying all the tastes together. Nice video mate. Kandy is the loveliest place in Sri Lanka and my home town too. Thanks for your quick visit. 🤟 Cheers mate! Have a wonderful time in Sri Lanka. One thing I noticed about Sri Lanka's foods is they are not deep fried. I hardly saw anything greasy or too much oily. And they eat a lot of greens too. Looks healthy for me

Sri Lanka series has been near flawless bro. I hope you got recommendation from the yellow shirt guy you met on train. Next series maybe should do mountain side there are some gems that has not been explored. Even spots like nuwara eliya and ella has untouched underrated spots away from tourists you can explore.

Glad you guys had a lovely time in Sri Lanka overall. The distinction for the worst train in Sri Lanka should probably go to the Colombo- Trincomalee night train. The thing never crosses 20- 30 km/hr and is frequently stopped by elephants and other obstacles! Hope you're going someplace interesting next. They say Leeds is interesting, maybe even Peterborough haha... But I'm now almost tempted to either go to Sri Lanka, or Vanuatu...decisions, decisions...

@@EllisWR The bakery where you ate had a sign that said 'coop'. Same logo, in brown! But our coop is overpriced, expensive, bad food, even worse coffee (in Alconbury at least, and in Derby somebody broke the coffee machine and they haven't sorted it yet...)

Stuff get washed into the beaches from the sea. So to keep the beach clean regular clean ups have to be done. In tourist areas that usually happens.

I would not recommend keeping head or hands out of the bus. It’s Dangerous. Specially when it take a turn .Few incidents happened in past so at least when it’s moving don’t keep your head out.

is sri lanka pickme and uber prize is always lower than normal tuktuk for locals too (pickme 100 and normal 150) like this different of prizes try to use pick me or uber

Good lad walking off on the Columbia tuk tuk driver. Me and keV are sick of getting charged 100 times the real price. I paid nearly 10 quid for one dahl Bhatt today in a tea house. I totally over paying 🎉- the honest vendors - use them ❤️✌️👍

You war lucky , because the crowded coach you were trying to get in the first place is the correct unreserved third class, the train conducter un locked the door and let you in to reserved third class coach , because at that time the most of the seats war empty
