He alludes to holding his infant son as he died. Elon's ex-wife, Justine, responded, clarifying that it was actually she who held their child as he passed.

@@damjanp7920 Common with people with ASDs. High functioning types can usually feel other peoples' feelings, but are often very overwhelmed by them as their own emotional management is impacted. Still, that doesn't excuse saying things that are hurtful to other people, just that that spectrum facet doesn't make someone a bad person, and yes-- they can have the same flaws that normies have - like bad intentions or flawed memory - in conjunction with their inborn issues.

As someone who lost her firstborn (and only) child, as petty as it may sound, details like that really do matter to us. I was alone with my son when he slipped away. I knew he was dying but didn’t expect it to happen that day. We were alone together. And then i was alone. If his dad put himself in my place like that, I’d really want to correct him, too. There IS a sacredness of it. It’s so gross that he tweaked the telling of this tragic, personal event to suit his narrative.

I signed up for Post Social and am waiting to get off the waitlist. It sounds like a good place to go to and that they are building the technical staff to have a proper site. In the meantime, I still use Twitter to read the tweets of about 7 people that I follow but I hope that this small community moves elsewhere. Twitter has certain groups that are very useful for work, school and sports though I am seeing some of the people decrease the number of people they follow expecting to move to another platform in the future. I don't use Facebook because of how they operate and because of their management. I plan to discontinue Twitter use for the same reason - the problem is that I need it for some things that I do; for now. I expect many others are doing the same thing. Some people I follow have signed up for multiple Twitter alternatives like Mastodon and others and are waiting to see where most others land. It's a great opportunity for another company to build and occupy the space because you have access to those leaving Twitter or those who have left Twitter and they've already done the bulk of the research and development work.

group emails are a thing and pretty easy to set up, then there are text messages and this is going real old school here, phone calls. You don't need Twitter to communicate with your groups.

He was the first to say it and that’s all that matters now, look and the ratio of comments, retweets, and likes, almost no one saw her comment compared to his. Na, Musk will act like she doesn't exist because acknowledging it in any way would be just throwing gas onto his own pyre. Banning her would raise her profile and lend further legitimacy to her claim on one of the very few subjects that could get his right wing fans riled up - children. Banning people for saying true things about his or simply for harmless jokes at his expense are both fine to him because his base don't give a shit about them.
