I just came across this song. It brought back so many memories. I was 17ish. My mom and I danced to this song in our living room. She taught me some 60 moves I think. I just remember how much fun we had and every time it came on we would dance. Of course we always got strange looks from my brother. But, today him and his wife have fun going out for a night of dancing 🥰

This song was very popular in 1983. I had my last summer holiday from navigational college. I went on holiday with my girlfriend, took the ferry from the Faroes to Scotland and drove down the UK to Dover over to France, proceded to Paris and then up to Denmark and on the ferry back to the Faroes, 5 weeks holiday. In December that year I graduated as a master mariner, and exactly two years after our stop in Liverpool, I took my first command on a chemical tanker in Stanlow, 4th July 1985. Now I am a bureaucrat in the City of London, fast approaching retirement, when I move back to the Faroes. When we came to Scotland in 1983 Moonlight Shadow with Maggie Reilly was the great hit, but as we drove on this song became the big hit. 24th May we celebrate our 36 years wedding anneversary. One week later my wife turns 60, an event we celebrate in Benidorm.

I used to sit by our CD player and just blast this song and I never listened to anything else off the album and I still haven't for some reason.
