In honor of my father, who was a fan of Phil Collins. I recorded the drums using the Yamaha’s EAD10 plugged straight to my phone (using the device’s camera). No audio editing, no samples.
Em homenagem ao meu pai, que era muito fã de Phil Collins. O áudio da bateria foi gravado através do aparelho EAD10 plugado diretamente no meu telefone (usando a câmera do aparelho para gravar o vídeo). Sem edição de áudio e sem samples.

Eloy is simply fucking amazing. I love this side of his playing. Shows his finesse and dynamics. Check out his drumeo work. Dude is so universal. We all love slipknot and Eloy is the best metal drummer hands down. But hearing this is so inspiring and so good! Thank you Eloy for inspiring me to become a better drummer across MULTIPLE genres. The genius of Phil Collins. This is one of the mostly technically difficult ‘simple’ songs. It is my favorite for the drumming...the fill at 3:20. Signature Phil.

Excellent, it shows a restraint in how you played and is a contrast to the Slipknot cover, enjoying both in different ways, the Slipknot song showed you beating the bejesus out of your drums, but you looked kind of serene while playing this song, it must evoke memories of your dad.

Eloy não simplesmente toca, ele incorpora a música. Muito bom cara. Música é isso, sentimento a flor da pele. Mandou muuuuuuito. Se alguém tinha preconceito com batera de Metal, você acabou de derrubar.

Todos nós sabemos que o Eloy é um dos melhores bateras de todos os tempos!!! Sou fã dele muito antes do Iahweh! O que eu + gosto do Eloy, é que ele toca com o coração, deixa a música Fluir e.seu corpo (braços (antebraço, pulso, dedos, etc kk) pernas, (pé calcanhar etc)). Enfim.... o Eloy não é apenas um baterista, ele é músico e.toco com amor, com a Alma!!!! Infelizmente eu não consigo explicar, porém quem é músico sabe o que eu quero falar. ❤

You nailed it all! This cover is amazing. I have believed for years that this track is one of Phil's greatest. His playing is deep in the pocket. The opening fill is genius (and you got the second flam in there too). The alternating snare tom fills are brilliant and unique. The ghost notes and kick drum patterns are funky as can be. The little off time thing he does in the bridge is diabolical. Superb. Also, the sound of Phil's drums, and especially his ride cymbal is epic. That gated reverb sound gets all the credit but this track shows just how good he was with natural sounding drums.

I used to play along to all Phil’s records back in the day. I have memories of playing this in a big closet in the back of the band room on a pieced together kit made of spare drums. The band director knew that I was just CONSTANTLY burning to play the drums so he let me come in and jam my ass off for 45 mins every morning before school started.
