Fun nerd fact. The different Elves bike models and wheels are named after the different elvish groups and characters from Tolkien's Middle Earth. As a LotR nerd, if they ever come up with a gravel frame I will have no choice but to buy it.

Here in the Philippines, Elves is considered a high-end brand frame-wise or as a built bike & for good reason. Loving the color scheme, I hope I can find one in my size. (:

I've been riding the elves Vanya bike. For about 4 months now. The bike looks really nice cosmetically we also did found the carbon interior layup pretty messy. But so far survived no issues with the frame Built a superlight 7 kilo frame on a ultegra 8000 Mechanical Groupset.

We have things to consider Elves Frame are made from finest and durable carbon fiber materials and yet it's price is too much cheaper any bike lover can afford to buy this frame set compare to leading road bike frame set in the market today . . . European and Western (made) countries are too much expensive with a price of a brand new car , for us Taiwan ( made in China ) frame titanium /carbon / aluminum / cromoly are practical to choose they have factory warranty card once you have complain and thank you for sharing knowledge on this channel . . . @thebespokecyclist3624 2 жыл бұрын
@@skyjuice88 Yea, I set up both to be my aero flat terrain bikes using the same wheelsets and groupsets. The T1500 somehow accelerates slower though very very stable and stiff. I don't know what makes it feeling slower. Both have been bike fitted professionally using computers and cameras so geometry isn't an issue. I feel the Falath is more of a racing bike than the Winspace. Also you can't have all internal cable cockpit with the T1500 unless you go DI2 so I'm not sure if the extra cables dragged so much to actually affect the accelaration. I'll be using the T1500 for training while the Falath for the peloton.

Hey Harry this build got me hooked. I think many people are scared of buying from brands that aren't "western"... you have proved that will research and time you can build a bike that's just as good / better for much cheaper. I think I'm going to do the same and have been looking at the Elves frames. I did have one question... I see you bought the 54cm frame. How tall are you ad would you say that it's a good fit? I'm 5ft 9 and thinking of getting the Falath large.

@@harrymaccycling - still a little stuck on sizing and measuring vs my old frame. Top tube is 15mm shorter on the 54 and still 5mm shorter on the 56 plus losing and extra 5mm if using their integrated bars. I’m on a 120mm stem currently so don’t have as much scope to move out unless I go up to 130+ Aware you’re racing so want a more aggressive, aero position, but just trying to work it out before I order. Mostly do tri’s so won’t be racing on the bike if that adds anything.

@@cwd3bon think about your old frame Vs your new frame, if you want to be shorter or longer, like I said if you're stuck Inbetween sizes definitely go for the smaller and just stick on a longer higher stem, if you need a more aggressive position you can make it but if you get a frame too but you can't make it more aggressive and it will be heavier, that's what all the pros do and that's what everyone does

been using this same frame for a year already, ran into the same problems as you about not being able to slam the stem and having to use the big 20mm spacer not sure why for this frame colour and mine (black with white stripe), they forgot to add an inlet port for the rear brake into the left side of the top tube, so you effectively can only route the cables through the headset. definitely seen it on other frame colour options though, maybe you gotta request for it to be built in. also, have you had the issue of the silver 0.3mm headset spacers getting bent out of shape by the cable housings? the metal it's made of is so damn weak..

@@Thefloppyearedcyclist yeah alot of people just don't really understand when reviewing sometimes, the reviews on the super light aluminium ZTTO cassette are great, I used it and it was good, then it wore down insanely quick and wore out my chain and chainrings... So yeah the reviews I guess you have to think for yourself sometimes and always take stuff with a pinch of salt, other ztto are usually really good though and make other great products, same as OG-Evkin

@@harrymaccycling ahhh awesome stuff, I’ll let you know how I get on with them, hopefully it all goes well.. I’ll always keep the original DT Swiss ratchets on me when out and about.. just in case .. so fingers crossed. On a side note.. it would be great to have a forum for online Ali cycling products .. as not everyone is a dentist or doctor with cash on the hip for a Pinarello ! 😅🤣

Did the bastards at the royal mail make you pay import tax?

Nope, not sure if it's included or not for the frame... elite wheels (other video) warned me that I may need to pay tax, ended up not having to pay but I think it depends on shipping route, I know the wheels shipped via Netherlands and apparently Netherlands is much easier to avoid tax...

@@harrymaccycling ah fair enough, i got some superteam carbon wheels back in like 2015 and had to pay like £40 and drive to some parcel force depot in arse end of nowhere!

@@abedfo88 oooosh, I'd only go with brands that sell lots and have good reviews as they'll usually have all the shipping/tax issues sorted out 👍

very poor quality frame. I'll never buy it, you're paying 800 just for the frame without wheels tires groupset etc. not worth it at all. you can buy a good quality carbon bike for between 1000 to 1500 second hand
