Here is a real mom’s review of the Elvie Stride Wireless Breast Pump. I am currently exclusively pumping to feed my 10-week old daughter. I am going to put the brand new Elvie Stride to a real-life test and share all of the results with you!
The new Elvie pump is now one of the most affordable wireless breast pumps on the market and on paper, it looks like it will outperform many more expensive options. On top of that, this pump is covered by many insurance companies making it a no-brainer. Let’s see if it lives up to the hype!
**Click here to check to see if your insurance will give you a free Elvie Stride or how much an upgrade will cost - www.kqzyfj.com/click-7584873-... **
Whether it’s for travel, going in to work, or chasing a child, many of us don’t have time to be tied to a wall outlet while pumping. If you are looking to ditch the wires, the Elvie Stride might be for you!
I am also going to compare the new Elvie Stride to the Original Elvie Wireless breast pump to see how it stacks up. I will test the output, noise, and comfort of both units.

Other Must-Have Items for Breastfeeding & Exclusively Pumping Mothers
🤰Best Elvie Pumping Bra - amzn.to/3hFk09F I have tried a TON, for me super tight ones work. If I am in a pinch a sports bra will work.
🍼 Best Bottle Drying Rack - amzn.to/3nN58tQ It's super cheap and compact. I have one in my suitcase for travel, two in my kitchen, and one at my cabin.
🤱🏻Nipple Cream - goto.target.com/KezgZ7 Don't forget to put this on every time! I have used all different brands and they all have been fine. I just most recently bought the one linked there and really liked it.
👶🏻 LaVie warming Lactation Massager - amzn.to/3kmpx77This thing warm & massages which helps improve milk flow and make pumping faster. It REALLY helps with clogged ducts and engorgement, I am speaking from painful experience. I have two of these, but you can buy just one and switch sides.
🧸Breast pads - goto.target.com/DV3Bk5 Again any brand will work, I typically get this cheap brand from Target and it does the job. NOTE I am not a big leaker.
🤰Hot & Cold therapy packs - amzn.to/3CoZJNC For under $10 these are great because they can be throw in the freezer for cool relief and put in the microwave to warm up your breasts. These really helped me when my milk first came in.
🥛Clogged Duct Relief - amzn.to/39gH3Du Legendairy Milk sunflower lecithin helped me and several friends loosen clogged ducts and then help prevent them. I took this daily after my first clogged duct.
💊Help increase milk production - amzn.to/39gH3Du If you are struggling with your supply I suggest trying Legendairy Milk Liquid Gold.
🤱🏻Breast milk storage bags - amzn.to/3CodKv3 I honestly haven't had an issue with any other brands I've used. I like the price point of the Dr. Browns bags so I buy them the most.
👶🏻Haaka - amzn.to/3CodKv3 Yes you really need one or two (I have two). Yes, they really work. When you get out of a hot shower and are leaking, you can just throw this on to catch the milk.
🍼Cheap Bottle Warmer - amzn.to/3hI5YV8 I have tried several, this cheap one is my favorite. The Dr. Browns bottle warmer was terrible...Once you go to 100% formula I cannot recommend the Baby Breeza amzn.to/3hI5YV8 enough, we love this thing. Now with baby number two, we have two of them, one in the kitchen and one in our bedroom.
❤️ Sterilizer Bags - amzn.to/3tNydGF You'll want this to sterilize new bottles, parts, pacifiers, etc. I also use them when traveling. There are cheap and you can use each bag twenty times.

So excited to finally see a review on this pump! I just received this in the mail and I took a chance since there were very little reviews. I planned to get the Spectra s2, but after seeing a hands free pump I decided to get it since I’m a second time mom and loved the idea of being able to do things while I pump.

Thank you so much! I had a horrible pumping experience with my first, so I ultimately switched to formula. I also had production issues and my LCs were never able to figure out why. Wearable pumps were just beginning to hit the market (2018), so insurances pretty much laughed at covering them. I was pretty much glued to one spot to pump and it was awful. My baby was in the nicu as well for 45 days, so it was just a conglomeration of things. I’m so excited this time around to have wearable pumps as an option. Even if we wind up in the nicu again this time, I can now hold my baby without bulky pump parts and bottles in the way, which should really help my milk get flowing. Thank you so much for reviewing these!! I think I’m sold on the Stride!

It's my understanding from other videos about these types of pumps is that you can put the parts in the fridge between sessions, then wash them once at the end of the day. That cuts down a lot on the washing throughout the day.

Thanks for the info! I'm currently pregnant with baby #2, and am planning on exclusively pumping. It looks like Tricare (which I have) fully covers and Elvie Stride and partially covers the Elvie, so I'm going back and forth between those 2. I don't have much experience pumping, since we switched to formula pretty early on with my oldest, so I've been doing a LOT of research, and hopefully it will work out! Or hopefully I can pump a decent amount, and then just supplement as needed.

I'm so happy this video popped up on my feed to watch! I have a motif luna and though it is an Okay pump, I canNOT stand the tube-flanges- pump that is hanging off my body. I can't hold my baby when I am hooked up, can barely cook/dishes or do any other chores. it makes me never want to pump and my supply dips when I don't pump. It is a constant battle. I was very very heavily considering the willow pump, but the price is very hard to swallow. I am very happy to see this PRICE POINT! The tube looks way more manageable since it can be tucked away in your shirt. I'm sure it may still be a pain to thread the tube into clothing but still 100x better than a regular styled pump.
@GettingStamped
@GettingStamped 2 жыл бұрын
Good we popped up! Yeah, I too hate the tubes hanging and not being able to do ANYTHING bc you're attached to the wall! The price point of the Elvie Stride makes it sooo much more attainable for people. Yeah, the tube is there and you have to mess with it but I am sure after a few uses you'll figure out a method that works for you. It's not nearly as bad as I thought. So far so good!

Honestly, you have to establish your milk supply no matter what and the pump to me wouldn't matter. I used the OG and my Spectra S2 (both depending on what parts were clean) with my first. I'm really hoping to figure it out because when it works it works great!

Is it necessary to buy extra parts? I would have to pay $97 with insurance for the stride. It can definitely add up buying extra parts. I like the freedom of it a lot. I’m expecting twins so the more I can do around the house without being attached to a wall or carrying something with me would be handy. I am really hoping I can pump/breastfeed to cut down the cost.

@@nievesnadia3 i used it but since my baby was in NICU I also used the industrial pump that they had, which seriously helped my supply. These are convenient but def not for use until supply has been really established, in my opinion. I could be totally wrong and every body is different. I tried all sizes and never got nearly as much out as I did when using the old school machines. Congrats on your baby, mama

Do you recommend the elvie stride over the spectra S1? If you had to choose only one pump?
@vivianataylor9202
@vivianataylor9202 Жыл бұрын
Not sure if this will help. Have not had my baby yet but I am due in May and have been doing a lot of research. The overall consensus says you should not rely on any wearable pump as your main device if you plan on pumping exclusively. I guess the wearables don’t have enough capacity to fully “empty” you. However, I’m unclear on if this would apply to moms who plan to breast feed and pump occasionally (at work etc…). Personally I decided to buy the Elvie through my insurance because I think a wearable will be nice when I go back to work and want to pump on the go. Don’t know if I will be able to breastfeed but that’s my hope, if not and I need to pump exclusively I figured I can always purchase the spectra s1 later as that seems to be the most popular pump and the price is reasonable.

The baby Buddha is very strong, too strong. I used it for a month and couldn’t handle it anymore, the pull is too rough. I have the Elvie ogs, stride and had the baby Buddha. My favorites are the OG because they are so gentle but the stride you can move around more freely and not have to worry about leaking, and the tubes don’t get in the way like other pumps. The stride suction is more like the spectra, so very different from the ogs
