About Elvis:
Baz Luhrmann’s “Elvis” explores the life and music of Elvis Presley (Austin Butler), seen through the prism of his complicated relationship with his enigmatic manager, Colonel Tom Parker (Tom Hanks). The story delves into the complex dynamic between Presley and Parker spanning over 20 years, from Presley’s rise to fame to his unprecedented stardom, against the backdrop of the evolving cultural landscape and loss of innocence in America. Central to that journey is one of the most significant and influential people in Elvis’s life, Priscilla Presley (Olivia DeJonge).

“Nobody’s going to remember me. I never done anything lasting. I never made that classic film that I can be proud of.” That is probably the saddest scenes in the movie. Austin Butler was amazing in this role. He deserves every award, I hope he gets the Oscar.

Yes, you can definitely see that in those family pictures that they took especially when it was just Lisa Marie and EP. And although she was only 9 when he passed away, the things that she remembers and has shared say it all. There’s the time she was in her bedroom and pretending that a hairbrush was a microphone and she was pretending to sing. Then she just sensed his presence and turned around and he was standing in the doorway looking at her and smiling. He wasn’t laughing at her he was just enjoying watching her. But the thing that always touched me the most was when she said in an interview that the one place she felt the most safe and secure was in his bedroom and office. She’d go through his religious and philosophy books and read all the notes and questions he had written in the margins. And no matter whatever happened to her, returning to Graceland and going up to his room and office was the best place for her (this was before Benjamin died though). They definitely had a bond.

That his dreams will be fulfilled and his family will be taken care of but at what cost? Elvis’s sanity, humanity and his own well being. Actually a very beautiful movie and sad movie to really sit down and watch for me because there was nothing Elvis can do realistically to get out of his contact with the colonel

He wasn’t very healthy either. If you take a look of his last performance before his death. He looked very pale. He was also abusing drugs and eating unhealthy food which lead to his death. He couldn’t even sleep either.

just hearing about Lisa Marie's sudden passing makes this scene so much sadder knowing that these were the only times in her life that she saw Elvis, may you rest in peace Lisa Marie, you are now reunited with Elvis and your son

Maybe the most emotional scene I can remember. The wife cried and I was tearing up too. When he says: "I will always love you." I started the tears. If only he'd have listened. They should've never split. It's too bad

It was a shock when the media announced she died, and shortly after the Golden Globes where she got to see Austin win best actor. I’m glad she saw that! You and everyone could tell she was not well. Then, we come to hear that she was allegedly using drugs. It just comes full circle like him. Her poor family. They just couldn’t go on anymore.
