Well as they say about Elvis, the guys wanted to be him, and the gals wanted to be with him. And I suspect back then, if some dude was not in the "lets be elvis" club, they'd probably have found his spell over the female fans very threatening. The beatles hadn't come yet, so this sort of hysterics was *very* new.

Elvis used to stay with people I know in our City back in the late '50's. The places he would go for entertainment and to eat are still there......he's King you know. Nobody has replaced him yet..

I recall back in 1958 when he came to Vancouver I was in the front yard of my house; I could hear all these girls screaming and I asked my Mother what was going on? She said "It's some Elvis guy"........I have loved him my whole life and I can't wait for the movie........

It's been said that Elvis Presley did everything before anyone else. First to cause mass hysteria, get censored, go unplugged before a TV audience, have his own private jet and do a concert televised worldwide. I was only young when "Aloha From Hawaii" first aired, but Mum told me later that I loved it. She and Dad loved Elvis' 70s recordings.

Bout time they made a big budgeted account of his multi-faceted life. Complete with great cinematography, beautiful set pieces, and a brilliant cast! Having lived in that era firsthand, I can't wait for this amazing looking film!

I can not wait til this movie comes out. Growing up listening to his music and the numerous bio-pics of his life and his music this is by far the best one yet. I got goosebumps just watching this trailer. Long live the KING 🤴

This scene alone shows the brilliancy of Baz Luhrmann. The camera focuses on the crazy, excited girls and the effect Elvis had on them, and then focuses on the annoyed guys, who hated Elvis for being so incredible. I’m so excited for this movie

I saw this movie last night. It is a good movie. I was worried that this movie would be cheezie and all hype. But it wasn't. Good job Oscar worthy for Hanks and Butler.

Just saw the film this past weekend and must say it is worth every penny of the 12.50 spent for one adult ticket. Austin Butler embodied Elvis and was so good in the role I actually thought I was watching Elvis for the entire running time. Tom Hanks of course has always been a talented actor but his portrayal of Colonel Tom Parker made me like him for the majority of the film despite the real Tom Parker being nothing but a greedy, rotten scoundrel.
