I remember seeing pictures of the flood in 2011. Hey, Spa Guy I don't blame you for not parking on the lower level of the parking garage. Cool on the acetate and Elvis' recording at Sun Records. Looking forward to seeing the actual record if you get to see it...hope so ! Love your trivia videos of Elvis and uncovering the real stories. A shame someone doesn't own the original songs. Sad that Elvis was so poor that he wasn't able to keep his own original acetate of "My Happiness." Keep the trivia coming.

I saw a video of Vernon telling that story about Elvis talking to him about if he should get out of the Sun contract and join some quartet. Vernon told him that things were going good for him and that he should hang on to what he was already doing. I like just about everything Jack does. Especially his old remakes like he did in the movie "Cold Mountain". If he contacts you, and sets up a meeting, you better let me know on Messenger so that i can go with ya! Haha. Great video as always Mr. Billy. 👍

Even went to his Concert at Madison Square Garden.. I went evacuee Elvis played there and I wanted to see a concert there.. My Favorite video he did is called.. I'm Shakin.. Love it.. Also love The Lazaretto Album.. It is great.. I even have the album version with all kinds of record playing things on it like songs with two different beginnings, or some play backward.. There are songs on the label and even a Hologram... It is Awesome!!

Maybe its worth adding this, that it was probably one of these recording booths, similar to the one here, that when Elvis first went to Sun Studio to make "My Happiness" and "That's When Your Heartache Begins", that Ms. Marion Keisker told Elvis he could go down the street, and he could make a record there for alot cheaper. But Elvis said he didnt want to do that, because they didnt sound professional. I'm assuming one of these is what she was refering to.

Have you ever noticed that last photo of Elvis you put up his guitar string is broken on it. If I remember right that was taken in Flordia ad well. I could be wrong. I always thought it kinda funny for such a iconic photo that slips by many people.

Billy Stallings yeah I knew most of it. And I read how when he worked for the electric company he would run around delivering parts, always had his guitar with him. I think I even saw an interview from the owners of crown Electric, or read it in one of the books, but I'm curious as to why at that time he made the record he was unemployed, because it was at that same time in 53 that he was working for Crown and made that record. I did know the story of him giving it to Ed if I remember right I saw somewhere maybe where you were at the Country Museum that Elvis had also signed a sun 45 of that's alright Mama for Ed at the same time he had that acetate. So many of us so appreciate this work you're doing is important to us compassionate long time Elvis lovers it's just so fascinating and interesting. Don't forget the Piedmont Motel we stayed there and I had no idea his contract was signed there, or pictures are there anyway and his high school graduation was there in one of those rooms. There's a lot of information at Piedmont. And of course I had no idea when I stayed there. Thanks again. It's not that it's what you do, it's that you do it so well. I love the detail. My favorite is Elvis at 13 on his bike.

Hey Billy, love the videos you do however the book I got states that Elvis was employed by Parker Machinists Shop between June 4 until September when he then got a job at Precision Tool. You are right about his first recording date of July 18. He actually didn't start work at Crown until November 1953. Keep up the great videos. By the way have you got any information on Jimmy Denson or Homer Gilliland (Elvis' barber from 67) I met them both in Memphis in 91.

Nick Swales glad you brought this up this was something I wanted to bring up but forgot about. That is correct and I also read how the owners of the Machine Shop talked about him going to Sun Studios Etc I've never heard he was unemployed when he made his first recordings at Sun. I believe even Dixie lock talks about him working and riding with him, at the time he went down and made that first recording

Nice house. The south always has nice plots. Out here on the west coast you can have a nice big house... But it looks exactly like all the rest in the neighborhood. Same models, same colors, same fixtures... If you're a drinking man you could possibly come home to the wrong house if you're not careful.

James Adcock yep I read about it several times there's even an interview with the owners. Sometimes he used to pick his girlfriend up too. And he used to sing at different places that he would deliver parts for, to some of the people. They said he always had his guitar with him. They loved him very much they said he was a great kid.
