This man’s body, movements etc. become one with the music. If the drummers playing , he looks like a percussion instrument the way he moves. He feels the music & that’s why he sings with such passion. Thank you. Enjoying the Elvis video’s. Binge watching to catch up. 😊😊❤❤❤

Women love Elvis, Men want to be Elvis!!! No one can ever take his place, he was a one off, a man with great talent. Looks, charisma, voice, stage presence, the ability to pull one in as though he was singing to that one person, He didn't just sing a song he felt the song and presented his interpretation to the masses. The opera singer who sang at the now King's wedding with Diana Princess of Wales, was asked who her favourite singer was, without hesitation she said, "Without a doubt Elvis Presley" Pavarotti said he wished he had Elvis's voice, and had Elvis been trained in opera no doubt he would have been the best ever. Praise indeed.

Elvis wanted to sing RELEASE ME but Glen Hardin mistakenly played the intro to I Can't Stop Loving You. You can even see the confused look on the backup singers faces when the wrong piano intro started. That's why Elvis had that playfully pissed expression and went over and threw the water on Hardin. You can see Charlie Hodge start laughing because he knew what was coming.

This is absolutely one of my favorite performances! Definitely my favorite of this song. Elvis started doing things with his voice around 72 that elevated it and it became even more incredible. All his performances from this Hampton Roads show in 72 are amazing! Please do more 💙

thx for the comment about it being one of your favorite performances -- so few people are even aware of it or even suggest it -- to me his energy, his power, the cute playfulness is amazing & can't be matched; i assume you caught the mistake & why he playfully threw the water?

@@carolhayar3037 Yeah, the water was a running joke they did often. Elvis would call out a song and Glenn would play something else lol They did things like this to keep things fun for the band and backup singers during their grueling tour schedule:)

If you listen at the very beginning Elvis said a different song, and the band started played a different song that's why he gave them that look and threw the water. On the piano player, Glenn, because they played a different song than what he said.

I don't know how many people realized what happened when he asked for Please Release Me & they started playing I Can't Stop Loving You -- that's why he playfully threw the water over to Glen @ piano; he also did give a slight look of irritation at 1:20; i know one reactor who did not pick up the mistake until i mentioned it to him then he replayed it & caught what happened; most people don't seem to realize what did happen. Thx for this -- feel better.

Three Elvis reactions in one day. What a treat for us Elvis fans (& thanks, Carol)! There's something else you should check out from this same 1972 show (it's actually from a movie chronicling his '72 tour). It's "How Great Thou Art". Elvis loved Gospel above all else & always included a couple of Gospel songs in every show. You can tell he loved it when you watch him sing it. Hope you start feeling better soon! Are you drinking hot tea? If so you should add some honey & lemon. It helps (you're bringing out my maternal instincts). Oh, & when you mentioned your dad on one of today's videos I wondered if you & he went to see the Elvis movie (you earlier mentioned you might) OR have you watched it since it became available streaming & on dvd? 💙☮💙☮💙☮💙☮💙☮💙

thanks Deborah -- yes on "How Great Thou Art" but i have a comment -- there are a few versions but there is one in particular w-very good quality whereas a couple of others aren't as good & i don't know which one you saw -- the one i'm referring to is at kzfaq.info/get/bejne/j5iho6Rqm57Zqas.html -- it's by Fabrica Elvis XXI who works on videos to enhance them - some of his work is a-m-a-z-i-n-g; i spend a lot of time searching for the best quality available because there are some videos out there which are really bad; did you pick up the mistake & why he threw the water? i adore this song & not many people are even aware of it -- his energy, his power, his playfulness is just over the top!! thx again

@@carolhayar3037 I'm wary of suggesting Fabricas videos because I don't know if they would get blocked. I agree they absolutely have the best quality and edits I've been able to find. There is a new ch that just appeared @ Elvis From The Vault and they have been dropping restored concert footage that to my knowledge has never been seen before. A lot of stuff from his 70s concert tours. I don't know who they are or how they gained access to the material they are sharing but I have been really enjoying seeing new stuff.
