She actually does I've been watching alot of her videos and had exactly the same thoughts some of her performances over the last 5 years are absolutely fantastic compared to alot of the girls in music JLo is a actually a really fantastic live singer it's a shame it's taken her years as a popstar to get to this point but wow the belts, the growls the Strong controlled vocals her vibrato is amazing shes definitely worked at her vocals and it's paid off even vocally she's shocking me. She even started doing vocal runs alot in her performances even some "show off" moments vocally and nailed the notes (American music awards 2017) also here head voice is really fucking good, she's got alot of more vocal technique then what's she's given credit for. Well done Jenny

This is a perfect song for her voice. Her voice doesn’t have a lot of range, but this song doesn’t require much, which is why her voice sounds good. She did a great, job and it suit her well! Great performance and she looked gorgeous!

The amount of people saying she nailed this is just… I- I’m speechless & baffled Just because she sang a song outside her general genre and performed a song from one of the greatest musical legends of all time does NOT confirm nor prove she’s anywhere close to being a legendary singer. Most of you keep using the argument that her beauty, acting talent, dancing, and fame prove she has musical talent without understanding that musical talent needs to stand on its own & have something at least to stand on. Jlo does not have musical talent whatsoever! A performer is not the same as a singer. Beyoncé is a gifted singer who happens to be an excellent performer. Elvis was a musical genius who also was an incredibly gifted performer. JLo is an entertainment performer who can put on a great show with no musical talent to support her. If we are talking putting on a good dance show with a lot of lights and dancers & good dance music (with lip-syncing) then Jlo is your girl… but if she were to stand on a stage without any of those then she would be reduced to an average singer who would be turned away if she was auditioning for American idol. Most of the time when she is asked to sing with none of the flashy lights & dancers, she depends on lip syncing to do so. I say this as someone who was a former HUGE fan of Jlo. I thought she was wicked talented and a triple threat. I exaggerated her talents in my mind because i wanted that Latina representation, but we have other notable and actually talented Latinos who are worthy of praise. Her beauty should never be the argument that she has wicked talent. Not only was the dancing for this performance just plain awkward, embarrassing, and I’d say kinda unfit for the song… her vocals come nowhere near being able to take on such a difficult song like this. Her vocal chords are weak and she is straining and forcing herself to have a bigger voice than what she has. She’s overcompensating for the inability of being able to sing such a difficult song with all the sexy movimientos that’s honestly distracting. Such a disrespect for Elvis’s legacy. I don’t know who in their right mind asked jlo to do this but i can only assume she was asked because producers were hoping it would draw in a lot of viewers esp since they are aware Jlo has a huge Hispanic following

They showed the 1968 version of it first, so everyone is comparing it to that. It is very loud and Jlo doesnt have the voice for that. She is much more close to the original version that was much more calm. But noone will ever get close to Elvis.

Vocally she was fucking fantastic, I'm not a JLo fan but she sang that song and made it her own, that Power, them growls and them belts while not losing vocal connection she was Fantastic! You may not Like JLo but vocally this was brilliant infact I was surprised she could sing like that let alone sing in Belt! Fucking absolutely Amazing that was can't even fault it! If anyone wants to know how you do it that's how you do it, and she didn't even have back up that was her Raw vocals. Absolutely brilliant well done Jennifer! Im just shocked at her Vocals, the belts the strong head voice, the power she delivered, didn't know she can actually really sing like this her vocal technique was on point! Ive never thought of her as a singer singer she's always been a ok singer but this showed She's actually a great vocalist! Jenny from the block is clearly underrated as a Singer I've watched a few of performances and I'm shocked how much she's slept on as a singer she does the acting and dancing and pop stuff but She really could be at the top if she put stuff out like this because she has the talent and she would surprise alot of people like she has me watching this and then going on to watch her other videos she's a fantastic artist I won't ever undermine her again as some sexy pop diva she actually has the talent. Because this live performance was well sustained with great Controlled vibrato, strong head and chest voice, growls used at the right moment, her pitch and vocal connect was on point and her belts was sustained... Wanna debate what was wrong vocally and point out we're she cracked? Sang of key? Or lost vocal connection? She wasn't flat either. Strong clear connected vocals with great vocal control. I will wait for you to tell me what she didn't do vocally that wasn't good.

Joyce Braga Motown is an insult because a mainly racially Caucasian woman is singing these soulful black legends’ music. Elvis is also white though, and even though he’s obviously a WAY better vocalist and singer than her, they’re never gonna find someone that is on his level in terms of artistry anyway so why does it matter? She still performed it really well, despite not being a strong vocalist.

She can’t sing and all she does is shake her booty on stage. She stoled songs from black artists using ghost voices.
