I've never commented on a reaction video, but I've been watching your reactions to Elvis and I get a kick from it. I know. He's funny, passionate, goodlooking, among other attributes. I love it when you fan yourself. Haha. So funny. His personality was magnetic and being so good looking didn't hurt.

This song was the song that was used at my wedding in September 1993 for the father/daughter dance which I danced with my oldest brother in place of my Dad who passed away earlier that year. While the didn't last the memory of that dance with my brother will last forever.

I got the book about the Special and it is very interesting. Col Parker demanded all the tickets for audience part of show but never handed them out. From my understanding, a garage attendant at NBC contacted Steve Binder and they had to scramble to find people on streets to give tickets. Parker was totally trying to sabotage the show. Elvis made every outfit look spectacular. No one else could wear the jumpsuits. True fashion icon.

If he were alive today, Elvis would have been 85 years old! Can you imagine that? He passed away at 42 years old, but everybody has a reason and a purpose on earth....Elvis more than fulfilled his. The epitaph on his gravestone reads, in part, "He was a precious gift from God we charished and loved dearly. He had a God given talent that he shared with the world....God saw that he needed some rest, and called him home to be with him We miss you Son and Daddy." That's all true...that was his purpose...to touch so many people with his God given talent.

Might be about to make you cry...I chose Elvis' 'Memories' for the remembrance part of my dad's funeral. My dad was my 'peace' when I got to stay with him away from my borderline mother (they divorced when I wad 5) and the lyrics "..quiet nights and gentle days with you" reminded me of how it felt to have that calm as a child with him.

That is a difficult song to sing and he does it beautifully. The day he died they played that song on the news. I was so torn in knowing that he no longer was physically on earth but when I went to Graceland for my birthday last year I said out loud at his mansion that his DNA is here so he is very much with us. The people laughed perhaps because they knew it too.

Love your reactions to Elvis. When I was young he rocked the world on the Ed Sullivan Show. My sister went crazy as did most girls at the time. However, most parents (white) did not. My dad called him Elvis the Pelvis and not in a nice. Back in the day we had 45 records with a song on each side. I was an Elvis ballad when my dad walked by my bedroom and stopped to say Elvis the Pretzel should sing like that. I said it is Elvis. Dad walked away without a word. There was a kind of rivalry with Pat Boone (good boys wearing white buck shoes) and Elvis (bad boys with blue suede shoes) among guys then. I still remember changing from white bucks to blue suede shoes when I was 13-14 years old. You might like playing Blue Suede Shoes just for the fun of it if you haven’t already. Carl Perkins had a big hit with it before the King blew him out of the water.

Elvis fans don't have songs we don't like....we like them ALL. Some people have a favorite ara of Elvis...the 50', 60's or 70's, but even so....a true, die hard Elvis fan love ALL of his songs....ALL of his movies. I lean towards the late 60's (like this) and 70's Elvis....but gimme a 50's or 60's Elvis song any day as well. Another thing.....and this is no kidding....just like me, ask ANY avid Elvis fan and we know EVERY song in his catalogue, we have seen EVERY movie he made and know all the songs from those movies and which movies and scenes they came from. An avid Elvis fans typically do not dislike any of his songs. We may have a favorite ara, but no such thing as a bad or mediocre Elvis song

@Joey msc I am a lifelong Elvis Presley fan I'm on the microphone with sometimes sometimes it picks up a different word than what I actually said I found out yesterday that it was picking up some words off the TV when I was texting my daughter it came up something about the Coronavirus right in the middle of the order that I was giving her it was so funny and it does this frequently so I have figured out if the TV's even on the Mike will pick it up or if she wants to the bedroom door and it said something like Mom I'm here a picture and this is my third time to try to say that I've Loved Elvis ever since I was 11 years old and I'll be 75 in May if that ain't loving you baby I don't know what is wanted to go to Tupelo in June for their Elvis week that I don't I'm scared to go anywhere right now cuz I'm at how high risk all I was trying to get across is Isle of Ever every era of Elvis every song Every Move every facial expression every outfit and every song and if that's not I ain't loving you baby I don't know what it is AKA Elvis Junkie

His costume designer was Bill Belew (May 20, 1931 - January 7, 2008). He was an American costume designer who created stage outfits worn, among others, by Elvis Presley, Ella Fitzgerald, The Band, Gladys Knight, Gloria Estefan, Josephine Baker, Brooke Shields, Joan Rivers, Dionne Warwick, the Osmonds, and The Jacksons. It was Josephine Baker who encouraged Belew to work as a costume designer.
