Hi Jimmy, if you start business with that plane you should try to get a realistic Elvis doll who even wears his perfume he always used and put him in a seat for the visitors while his music plays in the back! Sadly that restoring makes no sense as the FAA says..But anyway a good Investition because you can´t loose cash with that jet!

Amazing job in loading and transporting and then getting into storage , they performed above and beyond the call of duty . It's a shame it will never fly again but the Kings Jet will live on in a useful and entertaining way , the likes of most of us normal people can afford and enjoy . The alternative is scrapped or rust to the floor where she stood , at least now a part of Elvis history will live on .

Jimmy, take a look at a chassis of a Crown bus. They have a Detroit Diesel 6-71 that lies flat amidship (pancake) of the frame. The frame is low to the ground, and it also comes in a tandem rear axle model. The 6-71 is easy on fuel and has good power, and a pancake engine will keep it out of the way so you'll have to cut and design around.

This amazing venue is not the Country Music Hall of Fame Museum. It is a fantastic, gigantic indoor venue created by the late Joe Chambers. I believe that there are many financially successful musicians who would support the Elvis Jet Exhibit project. Long term, a mobile RV does not seem financially viable to me. Jimmy, what license agreement(s) have you procured from Elvis Presley Enterprises (EPE)? You do know that you can't even use the name 'Elvis' without approval/license. It will be interesting to see the reception by EPE, and exactly what they will approve/license - if anything - for this endeavor. So, may we assume you have been in contact with EPE and provided at least a Business Plan or a preliminary MOU?
@CJOlin
@CJOlin Жыл бұрын
You are only partially correct. The use of the name "Elvis Presley" or surname of "Presley" is closely guarded by EPE. However, the name "Elvis", is not. The Copyright laws of the United States recognize the word "Elvis" as common verbage. The United States Patent and Trademark Office does not and will not grant exclusive license to common or proper names. Although Elvis Presley Enterprises does have exclusive use of the terms "Elvis Presley", "Elvis Presley Enterprises", "Graceland" and "Elvis Presley's Graceland", this does NOT prevent the use of "Elvis" in the singular term. If it was the case of the word "Elvis", then that would mean no one could name a child "Elvis". If they don't grant a license to use the terms mentioned above, he can still use "Elvis", since there is no such trademark on the first name.

@@CJOlin He is not just naming the plane/enterprise 'Elvis', but the entire plan centers around the Elvis dynasty. He has ignored my posts and concentrated on those of his clueless sycophants. He just might have an old scrap plane that under no circumstances can be marketed - directly or implied - with Elvis Presley. You require a better understanding of Intellectual Property Law.

@@lonestarhog7407 What happens if you take the finished project outside the United States, ie Mexico, China, Europe etc. Could he advertise it as Elvis Presley Jet?
@lonestarhog7407
@lonestarhog7407 Жыл бұрын
@@sanfranciscobay No! It was manufactured in the USA and must abide by its Intellectual Property Laws. Also, EPE owns the same registered rights in virtually every country. There is no escaping it. If Jimmy has no agreements with EPE and spends a considerable sum refurbishing the aircraft he will be in a financially hopeless situation. EPE could also issue a Cease and Desist on the whole project. He could restore the junk, but have no reference to Elvis Presley. Surely, Jimmy has the necessary agreements/licenses from EPE for this project, including at least an DOU/MOU prior to the purchase. Right, Jimmy? 🙄

I'm glad to see somebody doing something useful with this plane. I first saw the inside of this plane back in 2009 while working for AAR in Roswell NM. The red shag carpeting screamed 70s.

I only wished with all your knowledge of planes that someway you could have gotten past the FAA just due to who owned this jet. The company that inspected should. Have known in advance about the noise the engines put out and the part that was missing not to mention no one made the engines were no longer available and the frame rot not making it air worthy thus giving you hope that from the beginning should have stopped and let you know instead of going over all the parts needed to get it back in the air wasting your time. If Japan can build an airport on top of the ocean that even survived a 7.2 magnitude earth quake this is constantly sinking an a typhoon that some company could fix the major problems with this jet. I heard there were 2 engines in Elvis’s museum that if still in tact could be used and maybe find 2 different engines to use that this jet could be given special permission to attend air shows. You know that if fundraisers were asked for that millions of people would send money just to get it in the air again. If we can go to the moon surely their is a company that produce the metal to fix the air frame with some type of metal to fix the structure of this jet just to get their name added to who helped getting it flying. Love your show!❤❤❤

Cut it up, make some Elvis plaques commemorating the plane with a piece of the red metal skin on it. 2 markets, Elvis collectors and Aviation people. It's worth more in pieces than a whole plane.

Jim renovated it and turned it into a museum; have a tour guide talked about Presley's life and played some of Elvis Presley's films. Sell things like key chains and t-shirts. Believe me you'll get your money's worth.

In a way, they wanted it to go away, but what if it was Elvis's old car or something else you could restore. Just think of making this a t.v. room, well any old jet quarters. Doesnt a pressurized cabin sort of make a bomb shelter, hehe..
