Delores Hart was delightful in "Where the Boys Are." Especially memorable: when Hart first meets George Hamilton on the beach. He plops down next to her, and silently draws a big question mark in the sand. Always loved that scene. Delores' fresh and radiant beauty transcends time.

I just loved the video on Dolores Hart and her connection with Elvis Presley. Yes, I was a tiny kid of eight when I saw both her films: Loving You and King Creole. I still maintain that Elvis' best film was King Creole and the number " I'll go on loving you" always brings a tear to my eyes. Today at 84, Dolores looks almost unrecognizable, save for those beautiful azure blue eyes that still have all the sparkle in the world. My fave Dolores movie is and will always be "Where the boys are". She portrayed genuine girls, always with a heart of gold. She was terrific too in 'Come fly with me', St. Francis of Assisi. She found her true calling with God and that's why she's so very happy!

She was so young and beautiful. And so was Elvis. So many people have said how mannerly and respectful he was. And Sister Dolores just confirmed it. A very unique and amazing story! This story adds credibility to Elvis’s first musical love ( Gospel) .Those closest to him said it was Gospel music Elvis preferred to sing. Me? I’d always been an Elvis fan mostly because my mother loved him. Years later after mom has been gone I discovered Elvis’s Gospel music and was blown away, having never particularly cared for Gospel, That all changed. What a Divinely Gifted Man he was in so many different ways.

It is much more likely that he developed a feeling for gospel because of his exposure to and love of black music like the blues, which come from the spirituals-the songs slaves sang in the cotton fields. Roman Catholicism has nothing to do with gospel music. They don’t use gospel music; they have their own music, which is much different and mostly played on an organ. It is more formal and less feeling. So no, I wouldn’t say that his connection to gospel music comes from this woman who costarred with him in a couple of movies before she became a nun.

If Elvis had the career like Marty Robbins, he would have been just fine. Marty was able to perform in Europe, which was something Elvis wanted to do. Marty was a fixture in the Grand Ole Opry which was something Elvis wanted to do. Marty wrote over 200 songs, and Elvis wished to be more involved in the songwriting process. Marty had his own guest performer show, and Elvis wanted to work with more artists. Marty drove Nascar, and Elvis was interested in competitive racing. Marty stayed married to Mari and Elvis wanted his marriage to Priscilla to work. I know Elvis looked up to Marty, and Marty shared a mutual respect for Elvis. Two geniuses.

I was wondering why Mother Dolores wears a beret over her veil. Then I saw an interview where she said the beret was not a part of the Benedictine habit, but because nuns wear their hair really short, her head was always cold, especially during the winter. Her superior suggested she wear two veils, but that proved too heavy. She was then given permission to wear a beret over her veil. After a while, a few other nuns likewise started wearing berets. Now that she's Mother Superior, she permits them all.
