In Houston, TX, 12 Nov 1971. 4 March 1974, at the rodeo, evening performace, 44, 175 in attendance at the Houston Astrodome. 4 June 1975, again in Houston. Finally on 7 Dec 1976 at the Hilton in Las Vegas. If he were alive and still performing, I would still be buying tickets. The man was that good!!!!

My personal favorite Elvis concert was the 1973 NBC-TV broadcast of the “Elvis: Aloha From Hawaii - Via Satellite” concert special. The Honolulu International Center Arena in Honolulu, HI, would be the venue for this concert. All the concert proceeds and donations went to the Kui Lee Cancer Fund. Kuiokalani “Kui” Lee was born July 31, 1932. He was a popular Hawaiian singer-songwriter and achieved international fame when Don Ho began performing and recording his arrangements. Ho began promoting Lee as the songwriter for a new generation of Hawaiian music. Lee died of lymph gland cancer on Dec. 6, 1966, at the age of 34. One of my favorite Elvis’s songs during the 1973 Hawaiian concert, “I’ll Remember You,” was written by Kui Lee. The total donation to the Kui Lee Cancer Fund from the 1973 Elvis Concert in Hawaii amounted to $75,000.

And out of all his costumes Elvis's cape here was the most expensive of all. Elvis gave this cape to his friend actor Jack Lord after this concert. Elvis stayed with Jack Lord during his stay in Hawaii.

You should react to his version of what now my love in the rehearsal show from the Hawaii concert. To me it is much more dramatic, he has more dramatic moves in that version. The ending is magnificent

I recently discovered Frank Sinatra sang this song as well. I'd heard it several times but never realized it was this song. It amazes me how the artists interpretation of a song can change it so much. Same words but Frank Sinatra turns it into a peppy snappy song. Elvis interprets it as a sad soulful song. I think Frank Sinatra missed the mark on this song and Elvis owned it

Nobody in his school knew that he could sing and his music teacher gave him a f in his school report and more or less said he was no good they only found out how good he was at a school talent contest

It's so nice to see you guys enjoying Elvis so much. So many of the younger generation have formed opinions about him based on his weight, drugs, etc. without listening to him. I don't mean just this current young generation but throughout the years. He did have a lot of issues, but so many in the music industry do. I watched this live that night as a young girl not yet 13. There are a select few that just have that magical "IT" factor that make them the greatest entertainers, along with Elvis maybe Freddie Mercury, Mick Jagger and so on. I could go on forever about him but all has been said. Thanks for your enthusiasm as you discovered how great he was & will always be. Peace, love & light to all.
