After briefly leaving music to serve in WWII, Elvis returned to show business with a string of successful movies. I think Elvis knew what life was all about, that's why God took him early, his lessons had been learnt by the time he was 42. Elvis knew what kindness was , what loving people meant , what helping people looked like, and what sacrifice was. He was so poor growing up and he didn't get to have an ice-cream often at all or presents ever brought for him as a child, yet when he got an ice-cream cone to eat one day and another little boy walked by his little house, Elvis gave the little black boy who had even less his ice-cream. Elvis had so little, yet he would give things away that he did have and value to others who had nothing at all . Elvis made millions, hundreds of millions of dollars, yet he gave most of it to others . people in need and to anyone really, even strangers. Elvis Presley was truly an exceptional human being blessed by God with killer good looks, and a matchless talent and huge generous heart to go with it all. Elvis knew where all his talent came from, and Elvis loved God very much and he did as he knew God wanted. God knew Elvis was ready to go home. WE all miss him to this very day. Elvis truly loved and cared about people, and for all those who loved him back I'm sure they will get to meet him in heaven someday .

We’re all tortured souls but most don’t realize it because they must focus on the good in their lives or else the pain could be to much. As far as Elvis well he was successful and had everything money can by a lot of laughs and fun times respect and admiration. But true happiness is within and I’m not sure how he felt inside.

I remember the moment his death was aired. I will always love him. But, I see nothing about WWII. My Father was born in 26, Mother in 1930. I always knew why she adored him. If you read that book, all the "untrue" stuff appears in documentary after documentary, being told by Memphis Mafia people who had nothing to do with the book. Red and Sonny West didn't tell anything the others didn't talk about later. I get tired of them being held up as these turncoats. It was the entire group contributing to what we know.

Elvis was no different than anyone else in the sixties and seventies. Watch some of the documentaries about it, sex, drugs and rock and roll. The difference with Elvis unfortunately his were prescribed by doctors. He was living in a time when addiction was not recognized and he wasn’t high on drugs or alcohol like most of the others. Also he was the greatest alive and pushed himself for us.

The Book Destined to Die Young has been out for over two years now, but it continues to reach more and more people. The goal is for as many people as possible to understand just how sick Elvis was, especially in those last years of his life. Elvis Presley suffered from disease/disorder in 9 of the 11 systems of the body, with 5 of those being present since birth. In this video, I briefly explain each system and disease. Reading the book is still the best way to fully understand the roots of the disorders within his family tree and how they impacted his ability to be Elvis Presley. However, not everyone is a reader and this information is so vital to understanding the lifestyle choices of Elvis Presley that I wanted to provide it in another format as well. I hope this video is one more way the information can reach even more people. A KZfaq link is also provided below. Please share this post or the link so that even more people can fully understand that the story of Elvis Presley is most certainly one of survival and not self-destruction. ❤⚡❤ ( KZfaq Link: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/m5mFatSdv5bTdH0.html ) www.ElvisAuthor.com

@@user-lj6js4kd2h I agree with your comment. I purchased Ms Hoedel's book when it was first published, and it was truly enlightening. Much of the information she shared, I'd already read in other books, e.g.: The King and Dr Nick, Elvis by Albert Goldman (which was a mean spirited hit piece) as well as the two Guralnick books. Elvis's genetics were stacked against him. Heart issues, liver issues, mental illness/clinical depression and anxiety, and autoimmune issues were prevalent on both sides of his family. Even if he hadn't been addicted to pharmaceuticals, he still wouldn't have had a long life. He suffered excruciating pain throughout his life, especially during the 70's. It's a wonder he even got out of bed, much less work such a grueling touring schedule. Elvis's self destructive/masochistic streak was what he once confessed to Linda Thompson, who loved him deeply and cared for him and his health. His gastro issues were severe and plagued him throughout his life. Dr Nichopolous/Dr Nick really did try to help him. Addiction medicine was in its infancy and was only available at a few places in the US. Dr Nick called in the foremost gastroenterologist at the time, who said that a colostomy was the only procedure that would cure Elvis's gastro issues but then Elvis would have had to wear a colostomy bag, and he said "no way". All of the prescription laxatives couldn't fix the problem. The liver and lung problems that he had were genetic in nature. He suffered with COPD and frequent serious infections. When you watch the CBS concert of June 1977, when Elvis talked to the audience, you can hear his breathlessness and difficulty. If only he'd had the desire to take care of himself.

The thing is though Sonny, you didn’t have your so called concern for him when he was giving you money and jewellery, just like all the others you were take take take, another thing to remember was that he never betrayed you and your slimy cousin Red betrayed him and you did that because Vernon fired you both because you were not doing your jobs properly and you were both mouthy so Vernon said, so all your so called concern was false and so were you when your meal ticket ended.

During mid 50's to early 60's ( the rockabilly era ) Elvis was pretty much the trendsetter. Then along came the British Invasion movement of 1964 when the Beatles first set foot on American soil. Then the Dave Clark Five, the Rolling Stones, and various other British acts followed in their steed. Ìt was to be the chain of events that changed the course of music history forever. 😊

I think the unnecessary jabs at Priscilla were really uncalled for, especially the one at the end. I caught that immediately.. I’ve listened to her speak about him for hours I’ve watched almost everything she’s ever said. It’s clear to me that she loved him very deeply, it’s also clear to me that a lot of issues between them, came from that angry old man talking smack about her. It’s heart breaking.

I just shake my head in disbelief whenever I hear these men who were supposed to have been Elvis’s life long friends. As the saying goes with friends like this, who needs enemies? These men sit back and talk their stories about the bad things Elvis did, this and that and everything else. When most of us think that if Elvis was doing this and that, then they were doing the same thing! They were a group of good old boys that were always buddies and what one did , they all did. And I think that if one wasn’t in the room than that was the one they were talking bad about. Just so happened that Elvis went first and so they all blamed him for what was wrong. It is just typical human behavior. The big thing that stands out to me however is that Elvis worked himself to death to pay their salaries, their houses, cars, horses, fun, vacations, all that they had came from him. Jerry Shilling was the only one that went off on his own to work for a while.

Everyone needs to read Destined To Die Young by Sally Hoedel (2021). She is an investigative journalist who delved deeply into his family history and medical issues. Elvis was born with genetic disorders and because genetics was in its infancy, doctors knew very little. It’s only become recently that information has become known abyhis problems that ALWAYS baffled all his physicians. No MRIs or ultrasounds then to diagnose him. Also The Strange Medical Saga Of Elvis Presley by Dr. Forest Tennant, also 2021. He also explains a lot. Elvis would never live a long time, there were too many things wrong with him and nothing could fix them.

What??? What's the difference if he wrote every word he sang? The way he sang was raw and he sang with real with passion and soul and made it personal like he was singing just to you. Elvis could convey the message of a song the way it was intended just as great actor who most times does not write their own material but can convey the message the with realness, rawness and passion and make it personal! Does it make a great actor any less great if they act out other people's materia?

The usual hit piece from, "the Elvis years ". Whose main purpose is click bait. Here is some real truth, Elvis was an Alpha 1 gene. It is a rare condition of a double gene. It was unheard of when Elvis lived. His mother's parents were first cousins. In the book by Sally Hoedel "Destined to Die Young" tell how Elvis would have died in his 40's even if he never took a drug. His mother died of Heart and Liver disease at 46, her two brothers died in their 40's with the same health problems. When Elvis born and his twin brother died he has a twisted colon. They were so poor he never got medical care. His immune system was poor, and in 1969 he had to have an emergency operation to save his right eye from early onset Glaucoma. He never spoke of his health. All the prescription drugs were often pain killers as his liver was not filtering properly which caused his bloated look and pale skin. His hair dresser Larry Geller said Elvis had a light heart attack in front of him. He wouldn't let Larry call a doctor. Wayne Newton said Elvis told him he was near the end of his life. He told back up singer Cathy Westmoreland that he would be dead by 42. And he was. All the negative stuff media is determined to right about Elvis one of the greatest humanitarians is never talked about. See "Elvis Pres!st King of Kindness". And Elvis A Generous Heart". So all us old fans like me will trash you people when you trash Elvis.

The Guys. Around Elvis cared about him. Regardless of what anyone thinks. Elvis wanted them. Around. Larmar Fike. Worked In the music business. Marty Lacker worked in the music business also. He discovered singer Rita Coolidge. Red west worked on tv series Wild Wild West with Robert Conrad and other television films. Others in the group also had employment. They didn’t ask Elvis for anything they never asked him for anything Elvis would buy them cars and things. Without them knowing. Which is what was Elvis nature. As for them looking after Elvis they did a great job they were always there for Elvis. They were around Elvis because he wanted them to be around him. They tried to talk to Elvis about his drug intake. And he would fire them and cut them off. They even gave him placebos taking out the drug from the capsules. They did everything they could. But it came down to Elvis. In the end. Which is. You can’t save a man from himself.

@@justjen12345 Yeah, he was a cheater and lied pretty well. Realistically, I probably wouldn’t want a boyfriend like that; BUT, he was ELVIS and I loved , still the man! I probably sound double minded, don’t care. I love Elvis ❤❤❤
