Possibly Elvis's entourage wrecked Tamblyn's house. I remember reading in Al Goldman's book that Elvis and his entourage were asked to leave Hollywood hotels, and that is one reason he bought a California house in 1962 and stopped renting Hotel suites while making films. Elvis was also known to fire his weapons inside his homes and in his Las Vegas suite.

If you look closely, the photo of "Charro" you will realize that this photo is doctored because it is not at all the TEETH of beloved Elvis that we see !! This picture is a manipulation, I have looked at all the pictures of the film and I have never seen one of this kind //// TCB/ TLC/

Great show Steve, I've never heard of that story and I think maybe if it did happen it certainly wouldn't have been E possibly his friends but like you said Elvis paid him a cheque for the mess of the house, I think Ross is just wanting a story for attention 😉 Also Steve you need to call out Jon Bon Jovi for what he said recently about Elvis, How Dare him , 🙄he will never be as Iconic than Elvis 💖 Like the original belt, stands out more 😎🤍

Hi Steve good show, I have seen this story before, all fabricated, I reckon as with other stories that come to light all the years I have been an Elvis fan I have never heard this before until recently, and of course Elvis isn't here to defend himself just looking for 5minutes of fame all rubbish😋

Awww, Steve! Elvis' reaction during Sweet Sweet Spirit is priceless. It's as if he allows us a look into his soul, so honest and raw ... Among the things I love most about him is the appreciation he had for the artists on his own stage as well as for other Greats. We know of a lot of them such as Sammy Davis Jun. or Muhammad Ali who never sad a bad word about him, quite the opposite, at least to my knowledge. (Oh, Frank Sinatra did! 😂) Also, Elvis never trashed anybody in public, thus trying to put himself over anybody. Because he was truly great, and generous, in so many respects. People trying to trash him only prove they are not. (There might be some truth to that house trashing story, after all they were a bunch of young men, well, having fun.! If it's true it certainly was exaggerated, and of course the peanutbutterandbananasandwich HAD to play a part. I think it's petty and ridiculous to tell such a story). Thanks all, very interesting show again.

I have read in the past that Russ Tamblyn did help Elvis with the choreography of Jailhouse Rock, had not heard about the trashing of the house. I like the Blue macrame belt

Hello Steve, A day or two I had read this Russ Tamblyn story. Right off the bat, it seemed silly and generic, especially the part about pbb sandwiches being left everywhere. Imo, people are just jumping on the EP bandwagon. I think it does matter and they should stop using him for attention. Thanks Steve. 🚫🥜🍌

So many songs Elvis recorded in the studio would have been great live and vice-versa ( for example 'Turn around look at me') done live in 1975 but never recorded in studio would have been nice in studio quality. I would have loved a live show where Elvis performed a movie song from each of his movies from 1956 Love me tender to 1969 Change of habit. Possibly if he'd lived 20 more years it could have happened because 1977 may have been too close to his negative feelings of Hollywood. Although Elvis recorded thousands of songs in his lifetime, I have seen a lot of Elvis AI tracks recently on KZfaq. Maybe an AI concert of a 1969-77 Elvis singing some of his better movie songs can make technology make this possible. Maybe AI technology can make some Elvis studio songs seem like live songs and live songs sound studio sound. AI technology could keep Elvis singing eternally 😊

His peanut butter and banana sandwiches were fried. I doubt he spent all night cooking and then leaving sandwiches all around. He stayed at June Carters house once when she wasn’t there. She told him if he didn’t have a place to stay to let himself in. The next day her husband walked in on the guys and he said the house was in disarray but what a few young men might do. His mom cleaned up after him so I’m not sure he’d do it. Her husband though said he was extremely nice and apologized and he felt badly. It was like Goldilocks & the 3 Bears when he found them in his bed in the morning. 😂😂😂❤❤. They were young and also trashed Hotel rooms and were asked to leave. They just had water fights and sprayed the extinguishers. We did that in Nursing School in the dorm. We were young and we thought we were just having fun. But wow did we get yelled at. The head mistress said they had to call the fire department to have them refilled. We all did stupid things when we were young. The house might have been messy but I think he exaggerated for a better sounding story. ❤❤

Hi Steve, catching this in replay, great show as always. Only because I had taken to rereading “Baby Let’s Play House,” the “trashing thing” discussed today seemed to resonate with several things I read in that book. I’ll quote one. Time was around 1960. “One side effect of the pills was that Elvis’s camp became more noisy and disruptive at The Beverly Wilshire (LA hotel - my note). Elvis was always breaking boards in his karate practice, and they were staging three-hour pie fights and pouring buckets of water on each other now, not just having squirt gun battles. “One time we came in and water was dripping from the ceiling, “ Charlie remembered. In a repeat of the Hotel Grunewald incident, it provoked complaints from management and residents alike, especially after Elvis threw an old cheap guitar down the hall, Charlie said, “and a lady looked out and ducked back in, because it went right by her head and broke in all pieces when it hit down there.” There’s also another story regarding Elvis and Red deciding to visit one of the Carter sisters ( I think June, who had told Elvis to stop by sometime and visit). Apparently Elvis and Red decided to make an impromptu visit, nobody was home, so they broke a window, made themselves a meal, then went to sleep in June and Carl’s bed where Carl found them the next morning. Apparently, he and June thought this was pretty funny, weren’t fazed by this at all. So, in answer to the Russ Tamblyn thing, I have no problem believing that Elvis and crew trashed the house. At least he paid for it. That’s our boy….

I'm a Cartesian, as long as beloved Elvis doesn't come back to give his point of view on this and other subjects, I'll stay on my guard / There are so many written by jealous detractors, that I don't believe everything I read, I'm sorting it out!! Just my feeling / Poor ELVIS who still doesn't have serenity almost 47 years after his cruel death / ELVIS God's gift for us mere mortals / TCB / Sincerely!

I think this story is more than likely a grab for attention. I mean really who has been interested in Russ Tamblyn Leo Sayer or Tommy Steele in recent history. Lets not forget that Elvis was only 21 at that stage i am sure there were wild nights

I love elvis and his music but he was far from perfect like all humans. And id wish people would stop putting him up on this big pedestal. And i bet he done things but because of his paid protectors we will never know. So people take off the blinkers and enjoy his music and films and accept him for what he was and what he did or didn't do. And steve i enjoy your show every week but last night's show really opened my eyes as to how you all see elvis as this person who in your eyes could do no wrong and that he was a saint. He was far from a saint, i was enjoying last nights show until you brought up the story of elvis destroying this actor's place and the nastiness really came out in all of you . And yes i left. I have a friend that would give all of you a run for your money on anything to do with elvis , my friend has elvis's first ever record and its in mint condition.
