Thanks! I’ll be installing one of these on my PA-16 Clipper in the next couple months. O-320 with several other upgrades.

I’m planning to start out with replacing my left mag during the new engine build. Brad is a great guy to work with too.

I need a dual mag for my Vans. Ex- Money, I mean Mooney engine.

This would be a really nice upgrade for my Cardinal. The current Electronic Dual Mag replacement requires a seperate battery back-up. This would eliminate that.

Yes. The ability to self power after start takes it next level for electronic ignition in my option. Like Brad said it’s the best of both worlds.

I'm really looking forward to the dual mag for my Cardinal RG! Any time horizon on that?

I haven’t been able to get an estimate yet. The FAA process has been a slow one… it could perhaps be later this summer, but I really don’t have nothing to go on other than they’re getting closer.

Will the performance and economy improve with one Magneto and one E-Mag?

Yes. E-Mag shows about 70% benefit with just one installed. I’m actually installing just one, replacing the impulse coupling for my next engine to start with.

So what if you have no electrical system?

Great question, you’ll just need a battery for starting. After 500 rpms, I believe it’s self powers then. I’ll ask Brad if you’d like? I can see what people are doing that don’t have a electrical system.
