The Embsay and Bolton Abbey Steam Railway (EBASR) once again held its annual Branchline weekend, using all of its available home fleet of engines and its wide variety of rolling stock, including an intensive half- hourly timetable of departures. In service was:
-L&YR Class 27 'A Class' 0-6-0 No. 12322 (recently repainted into its LMS guise)
-Hunslet 16" 0-6-0ST No. 2705 "Beatrice"
-Hudswell Clarke 0-6-0T Samuel Fox and Co. No. 20 "Jennifer"
-RSH 'Hunslet Austerity Tank' 0-6-0ST No. 68005 "Norman"
-BR Class 31 Bo-Bo No. D5600
The railway ran an intensive timetable, featuring four different train sets in action. The passenger sets were formed of a set of BR MK1s, as well as the line's "Stately Trains" rake, formed of four Victorian carriages. Passengers could also travel in the passenger section of the Parcels train, while an additional 15- wagon "pick up goods" was also run.
