Yeah, safer with the brakes..I'm the sam way.....pretty easy to fix. Weird set up...but, just take a few pictures and see the easiest...cheapest way to fix them. Keith 2guys how2

Just adjust that brake shoe adjuster loose to get hub back on..especially, after a new set of brake shoes..once hub is on spin the hub and keep adjusting the brake adjuster until the hub is hard to turn and then back off the adjustment so the hub spins free..but, still is close to touching. That will be the best adjustment. Keith 2guys how2

Finally got it after studying your video. My adjuster would not budge the way yours did. I had to pry the larger “gear” away to release the pressure. As a result I couldn’t do the fine-tuning as you’re describing. I pushed it all the way in and then backed it out a little bit, hoping for the best. Everything is back together and brakes feel just as they did before the repair. Thanks again! I did a little video and I’ll try to post soon

If I remember they are a clip...you can go to partszulla online and see if they have a good enough diagram...the usually do. Just type in rear brake diagram Kawasaki mule year model partzilla. At least get the part number and find it somewhere for a good price..ebay, etc. Keith 2guys how2

I'm not sure off hand. It's very possible, but, if you get the brake part numbers..you can then be specific on what models used the same parts. That's what I do. Get the numbers and most likely you can cross reference and get the parts from other units, too. Keith 2guys how2

Does it not turn over at all, when you hit the key with the brake pressed down ? Does it just shut off while driving and not start again...but, motor turns over, with no start...? Keith 2guys how2

@@Goldnugget47 * Step 1...Take the air filter boot off carb and pour or spray a little gas or starting fluid into the carburetor..(be careful wear safety glasses and have a fire extinguisher on hand..you can never be too safe) * if it doesn't start, then it's a fuel issue or a spark issue. Bad fuel filter, saturated soaked spark plug..or bad, weak gas, contaminated the plug. * Step 2...Wire brush, clean the spark plug tip and try again with gas or starting fluid sprayed directly into carburetor, as above stated. If it does start, then.. * Step 3.. Disconnect the fuel line from carb...put the fuel line into an empty clear water bottle and crank the motor over...see if it spits out strong amount of gas into bottle. If not...then it's either the pump pick up tube down inside tank...that tube should be below the gas level to feed the fuel pump..bad, weak pump, bad vacuum line to pump. * Possible, bad fuel pump. * Possible, cracked vacuum line from engine crank case to vacuum inlet of the fuel pump. * Step 4... Check for spark....by taking out spark plug...insert into plug wire boot and hold it the metal bolt on engine (don't get shocked)...try to start the motor and see if there is a good strong spark..or spark at all.. * If no spark or weak spark...could be..Bad spark plug, soaked plug with bad gas or too much gas, plug wire loose, weak coil, dirty coil or dirty magneto on flywheel..magneto and coil get rusty from moisture in the air. Could also be... * Dirty carbureator...clogged fuel jets can cause no start issues, too. * I use super high octane gasoline and fuel cleaner to help with bad gas from sitting for long periods of time. * Other videos I have show checking fuel pump, cleaning the carburetor and cleaning the flywheel..magneto for a good spark. I would check the the brakes, again and also check the brake hardware..the. rakes are simple, but, easy to get confused and put something back incorrect. I would take the other tire off..gently, remove the drum ..and take pictures..match the pictures to the way you have the brake hardware, adjustments, etc..I could be that simple, something is in the way or needs to be slightly pushed over a little..then adjust the shoes to touch the drum..as I did. How’d you get it back on? I can’t get my hub back on. Pretty sure it’s hitting the shoes but I can’t get them to retract. Any help would be appreciated! It’s a 2014 mule 610 model kaf400a
